The deciding specification is whether the maker publishes a hanging hole, because a 17 inch steel tool will not lie down in a shallow cupboard.

Every spatula in this pool is between 14 and 17 inches long, which is deeper than most shallow wall cabinets. Six listings publish a way to hang one instead. NIITAWH publishes a big hole at the handle end and is the only listing here that mentions a kitchen cabinet at all. Zulay publishes a built-in hanging hole on a 14.8 inch spatula. AmyFei publishes a round hole in a wooden handle. Standcn and YOSUKATA both publish holes on every tool in their sets.
“A tool longer than the shelf is deep has to hang.”

Because the lengths are all in the same band and all of them are awkward. The published figures run from 14.7 inches to 17.64, and a shallow wall cabinet is usually shallower than the shorter end of that. Choosing the 14.7 inch tool over the 17 inch one does not solve the problem, it just makes it slightly smaller. A published hole does solve it, because the tool then lives on a rail or a hook and the cabinet is free for plates.
Seven of the sixteen. Both GXONE spatulas, at 14.7 and 15.7 inches, publish a size and a weight and nothing about storage. AOOSY publishes 15.7 inches and a triple-insulated handle. Berglander publishes 17 inches and 43.5 centimeters across three tools. SUNRISE publishes a 15.5 inch overall length and a 3.25 by 4 inch head. Both FJNATINH sets publish lengths and dishwasher wording. None of the seven mentions a hole, a hook or a rail.
The maker says so, and it is the only listing in the pool that makes the claim: just the right size, not too long, they will fit in your kitchen cabinet. What it does not do is publish the cabinet depth it has in mind, and its own figures are a 14 to 15 inch range with dimension fields of 14.5 by 15.0 inches. So the claim is credible for a standard 24 inch base unit and unproven for a shallow one, which is why the big hole at the handle end still matters.
AmyFei makes the case and it is a fair one. It publishes a round hanging hole in a rosewood handle and links it to drying: the handle is easy to dry and hang. Wood left wet in a drawer is the one part of a steel tool that degrades, so a hole that lets it air is doing two jobs. The counter-argument is that the hole is cut through the part that can split, and no listing in this pool publishes anything about that.
Less than it sounds. Zulay publishes 0.31 pounds, the lightest of these five, for a single spatula. NIITAWH publishes 0.4 pounds for three tools. AmyFei and Standcn both publish 0.9 pounds for two. YOSUKATA publishes 1.54 pounds for three. None of those is much for a hook, and none of the six listings publishes the diameter of its own hanging hole, so the fit rather than the load is the thing to check.
Three of the sixteen listings are pans rather than tools: a Willow and Everett flat bottom wok at 6.7 pounds, a Souped Up Recipes 12.5 inch carbon steel wok at 5 pounds and a LOLYKITCH 13 inch wok at 5.18 pounds. A 13 inch pan in a shallow cabinet is a different and harder problem, and LOLYKITCH is the only one that addresses it by publishing a detachable handle. None of the three is a spatula, so none is ranked here.
Specifications come from the manufacturers' own published listings. Lush Food & Drink may earn a commission if you buy through a link on this page, at no extra cost to you. How we research.
A wok spatula is a long tool. Every spatula in this pool publishes a length between 14.2 inches and 17.64, because reach is the point: the maker wants the handle clear of a hot pan. That makes the shallow cabinet question awkward, since even the 14.2 inch figure at the bottom of that range is more than many wall cabinets are deep, and choosing between 14.7 inches and 17 does not change the answer much.
What does change it is a hole. Six of the sixteen listings publish a hanging hole in the handle and say what it is for, which turns storage from a shelf problem into a wall decision. Five of those six are the picks here. The seventh figure worth reading is the weight, because a set that hangs needs one hook per tool and three of these five arrive as sets.

The column nobody fills is the one that decides whether a hook works: how wide the hole is. Six listings publish a hanging hole and none publishes a diameter, so a 5 millimeter hole and a 12 millimeter one look identical in this data. The other missing figure is a per-tool weight, since four of the five picks publish one number covering two or three tools.
NIITAWH is the only listing in the sixteen to mention a cabinet at all. Its bullet reads: just the right size, not too long, they will fit in your kitchen cabinet, and a big hole at the end of the handle for hanging. Both halves of that sentence are the whole of this page’s question, and it is the only maker here that appears to have thought about where the tool goes when it is not in a wok.
The published figures behind it are softer. The length is a 14 to 15 inch range rather than a number, and the dimension fields read 14.5 by 15.0 inches, which is that range restated rather than resolved. The 0.4 pounds covers a spatula, a skimmer and a soup ladle together. So the claim is credible and the evidence is thin, and the hole is what makes it hold up.
Zulay publishes the plainest version: a built-in hanging hole that makes for simple, space-saving storage. Standcn publishes a big hanging hole and says it saves precious space. YOSUKATA publishes a built-in hole in the handle for easy hanging storage on all three of its tools. None of these is a measurement, and all three are specific about the hole existing, which is the part that cannot be faked in a photograph.
AmyFei is the most interesting because it gives a second reason. Its wooden handle carries a round hanging hole and the listing says the handle is easy to dry and hang. Wood left damp in a drawer is the failure mode of a wood-handled steel tool, so the hole is doing upkeep as well as storage. That is the only listing in the pool to connect the two.
GXONE publishes 14.7 inches and 3.8 inches in one bullet. Zulay publishes 14.8 inches and says it keeps hands away from heat and oil splashes. AOOSY publishes 15.7 inches for reaching the bottom of a deep round-bottom wok. FJNATINH publishes 16 to 17 inches and says the length keeps hands away from the hot wok. Berglander publishes 17 inches and 43.5 centimeters across three tools.
Those sentences all argue for length, and they are right: a short tool in a deep wok puts a knuckle over the rim. The consequence is that the whole pool sits in a band no shallow shelf handles comfortably, and the parent page on this site already ranks these tools by length matched to your wok. This page takes the other reading, which is where the tool sleeps.
SUNRISE publishes an overall length of 15.50 inches in its first bullet, a size field that reads 16.75 inches, and a dimension field of 16.89. Three figures for one shovel. It also publishes the most precise head figure in the pool, 3.25 inches long with a 4 inch curved leading edge, and no hanging hole at all, so it is not a pick here.
FJNATINH publishes two listings with the same title. One gives 16 to 17 inches with fields of 3.9 by 16.93, the other gives 14.2 to 15 inches with a size field of 15 inches, a title claiming 17 and fields of 1.53 by 5.7. Neither publishes a hole. When a listing cannot agree with itself about how long a tool is, it is not the one to buy for a cupboard measured to the inch.
Only one of these five picks is a single tool. Zulay publishes one spatula at 14.8 inches and 0.31 pounds, the lightest of these five, and that is the whole decision: one hole, one hook, done. Everything else here arrives as a pair or a trio, and the hanging hole is published on every tool in the set rather than on the spatula alone.
That is a wall question rather than a cabinet one. YOSUKATA publishes 1.54 pounds, the heaviest of these five, across a spatula, a ladle and a skimmer, all 17 inches. NIITAWH publishes 0.4 pounds across the same three tool types. If the kitchen has one spare hook, a trio does not solve the storage problem, it multiplies it by three.
Four of the five publish a dishwasher statement: NIITAWH, Zulay, Standcn and YOSUKATA all say dishwasher safe, and NIITAWH adds that one-piece stainless dries quickly and holds no odors. That matters on a rail, because a tool that comes out of a machine dry goes straight back on the hook, and a tool that is hand washed and hung wet drips onto whatever is below it.
AmyFei is the exception and is consistent about it. It publishes cleaning with dish soap and water rather than a machine, and pairs that with the drying argument for its hanging hole. A rosewood handle should not be run through a dishwasher, and the listing does not pretend otherwise, which is more than several steel-handled listings in this pool manage.
Shallow cabinets and no wall to spare. NIITAWH is the only listing that claims a cabinet fit, publishing 14 to 15 inches and a big hole at the handle end. Three tools for 0.4 pounds, so the trio goes either way, shelf or hook.
One tool, one hook, nothing else. Zulay publishes 14.8 inches, a 4 inch head, 0.31 pounds and a built-in hanging hole it calls space-saving. There is no ladle or skimmer to find a home for.
A wood handle you want to keep. AmyFei publishes a round hole in a rosewood handle specifically so it can dry hanging up, and asks for dish soap and water rather than a machine. Its only published figures are the carton.
A rail above the hob. Standcn publishes 17 inches, a 3.8 inch head and a big hanging hole on both tools, forged in one piece. At that length it belongs on a wall rather than in any cupboard.
You want the whole set out where you can see it. YOSUKATA publishes a built-in hole in all three handles at 17 inches, 1.54 pounds for the trio, dishwasher safe. Budget three hooks before it arrives.
Every figure above is a manufacturer’s own published number or sentence. These are the things we went looking for across all sixteen listings and did not find.
