of Pinot Noir. Yes, you heard us right: the red grape that is best known for making darker-hued, ruby-colored wines.
So, how does Germany's Winzergenossenschaft Ké6nigschaffhausen do it? As it turns out, the method is frequently used in Champagne; however, their Blanc de Noir 2020 is a bit unconventional given it is a still wine. The grapes are grown from volcanic soils on one of the
region’s top sites for Pinot Noir — the Kaiserstuhl vineyard in Baden — and vinified through zero skin contact. Fermentation then occurs in stainless steel.
The whole process leads to a lemon-yellow-colored dry wine with great complexity and depth. The bouquet is fruit-forward with aromas of vanilla and orange zest; its palette is refreshing and STEINGROBLE pleasantly acidic. Rich and smooth in texture, this wine is actually
