The deciding specification is interior space, and only one of these five publishes it.

I compared published interior and exterior sizes, ventilation, door design, materials and second uses across five bread boxes, using each maker's own listing text only.

The only listing here to publish an interior, 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches, plus a raised top shelf measured at 2.4 inches high.

Ventilation holes on the back of both layers, in New Zealand solid pine rather than bamboo, with a magnetic acrylic window door.

A double layer bamboo box with two roll up doors, a frosted window and a wooden handle on a magnetic latch, on four rubber feet.

Metal with a bamboo lid at 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches and 3.46 pounds, with the lid designed to double as a serving plate.

A pair of airtight plastic keepers at 5.6 quarts each, with silicone gaskets, four locking lids and freezer and dishwasher safety stated.

Coiesol is the only pick that publishes an interior, 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches, with a 2.4 inch raised shelf above it. Sunhoo is the only solid pine box and states vent holes on the back of both layers. Goozii's fields reach 16.8 inches. ZICOTO is metal, 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches and 3.46 pounds, with a lid that serves as a plate. Tiawudi is a sealed plastic pair at 5.6 quarts each.
“Outside measurements do not tell you what a loaf needs.”
Lush Food & Drink
Only two of these listings let you answer that. Coiesol publishes an interior of 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches, so a loaf can be measured against it directly. Tiawudi publishes 5.6 quarts or 5.3 liters per container and 6.25 by 6.25 by 13.25 inches on the outside, though not what is left inside. The other three give outside sizes only, and an outside height includes panel thickness and, on two of them, a dividing shelf.
Four of these five are built on the idea that they do. Sunhoo states holes on the back of both its layers and explains them as letting water vapor escape while moderating humidity. Coiesol states rear vents and ZICOTO puts its openings in the lid. Goozii states that airflow occurs without saying where. Tiawudi is the exception and is deliberately airtight, sealed with silicone gaskets.
They are for different jobs. Tiawudi's sealed containers are stated freezer safe and dishwasher safe, which suits half a loaf you want to keep for next week. Sealing fresh bread airtight at room temperature traps the moisture the crust gives off, which is the condition mold likes. The four vented boxes are for bread you will finish in a day or two, and none of them can go in a freezer.
Two different answers. ZICOTO publishes 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches in its own words and again in its dimension fields, against Goozii's 16.8 by 14.2, Coiesol's 15.75 and Sunhoo's 14.4. The trade is height: a 5 inch figure in its dimensions means a tall loaf cannot stand upright inside it. Tiawudi stands each container on its end instead, so one of them occupies a 6.25 by 6.25 inch footprint against ZICOTO's 11.5 by 5 inches.
Coiesol and Goozii are both bamboo with an acrylic or frosted window. Sunhoo is the only one naming a solid timber, New Zealand solid pine, and links that to the box breathing. ZICOTO is metal with a bamboo lid and is the only pick to state that the body is easy to clean. Tiawudi is food grade plastic, stated BPA free, with silicone gaskets in the lids.
The three wooden boxes do not. Coiesol includes tools and instructions, Sunhoo says all parts and detailed instructions are included, and Goozii supplies accessories and a manual. One of the listings excluded from this five describes the job as five boards in four steps, which is a fair picture of the work. ZICOTO publishes nothing about assembly, and Tiawudi needs none.
Specifications come from the manufacturers' own published listings. Lush Food & Drink may earn a commission if you buy through a link on this page, at no extra cost to you. How we research.
Only one of these five tells you how much room there is for bread. Coiesol publishes an interior of 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches plus a raised top shelf 2.4 inches high. Tiawudi publishes a volume and an outside size, 5.6 quarts or 5.3 liters and 6.25 by 6.25 by 13.25 inches for each of its two containers. Sunhoo, Goozii and ZICOTO publish outside figures only, and an outside figure includes the wood.
The exterior numbers do separate them. Goozii’s fields reach 16.8 inches, Coiesol’s 15.75 and Sunhoo’s 14.4, all of them two layer or shelved designs. ZICOTO is the outlier at 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches, which is a low box rather than a cabinet, and at 3.46 pounds it is the one you can lift with one hand. Coiesol is the heaviest of the five at 6.61 pounds.

What the table will not settle is whether a bought loaf fits. A supermarket sandwich loaf, a bakery sourdough and a baguette are three different shapes, and only two of these five give a figure you could measure a loaf against. For the other three you are working backwards from an outside measurement that includes panel thickness, a door, and on two of them a second layer you cannot see the height of.
Coiesol gives a dedicated interior of 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches for loaves, bagels, rolls and pastries, and separately a raised top shelf measuring 14.95 by 9.04 by 2.4 inches. That is the only listing in this pool where you can hold a tape measure against a loaf and know the answer before ordering. Its own outside fields read 9.84 by 15.75 by 10.24 inches, so the difference is panel and door.
The 7 inch interior height is the figure that matters and it is the one nobody else states. A tall round sourdough is the thing that defeats a bread box, and the only way to know on the other four is to subtract an unknown amount of wood from an outside height. Coiesol’s shelf height of 2.4 inches is also honest about what that upper space can actually hold.
Sunhoo publishes its outside size in its own words, 14.4 by 9.4 by 13.4 inches, and its dimension fields read 9.6 by 14.4 by 13.5 inches. Those are close enough to be the same box measured twice, and the maker’s wording is the one used here. What neither version says is how that 13.4 inch height divides between the two layers, and a two layer box splits its height somewhere.
Goozii publishes no size in words at all, only a size field reading Extra Large and dimension fields of 9.8 by 16.8 by 14.2 inches, and no weight. On a double layer box that set of figures tells you how much counter it needs and nothing about the loaf. ZICOTO is the opposite, small and specific, 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches stated twice on its listing.
A bread box is trying to do two things that fight each other, keep the crust from drying and keep the crumb from going moldy. Sunhoo is the most explicit about how it manages that, with ventilation holes on the back of both layers, described as letting excess water vapor out while moderating temperature and humidity. Coiesol states rear vents, and ZICOTO puts its holes in the lid.
Goozii claims airflow without saying where it happens or counting any openings, which is the weakest ventilation statement of the four wooden boxes. One of the excluded listings in this category counted its holes, stating five on the back, so the figure clearly can be published. None of these five says how large the openings are, which is the part that would actually let you compare them.
Tiawudi is not a vented bread box and should not be judged as one. It is a pair of plastic containers with silicone gaskets and four side locking lids, stated airtight, sold as 5.6 quarts or 5.3 liters each, and designed so bread stands on its end to save counter space. Airtight and room temperature is the combination that grows mold on a fresh loaf, and the listing does not warn about that.
What it is genuinely good for is stated on the listing: it is freezer safe and dishwasher safe, and it keeps insects out. A sealed container that goes in the freezer is a real answer to half a loaf you will not finish, which no wooden box here can offer. It carries the only guarantee in the group, a lifetime one, and it is included in this five because it solves a different problem rather than the same one worse.
Three of these five are bamboo or wood and each describes it differently. Coiesol says natural bamboo with an acrylic door. Goozii says premium bamboo and adds that its factory has made bamboo bread boxes for more than 10 years. Sunhoo is the only one naming a solid timber rather than bamboo, New Zealand solid pine, and it links that to the box breathing rather than to its looks.
ZICOTO is the only metal box in the pool, with a matte cream finish and a bamboo lid, and it is the only one that states the body is easy to clean. Metal does not absorb moisture the way a wooden panel does, which cuts both ways inside a bread box, and no listing here addresses that. Tiawudi is plastic, stated food grade and BPA free.
Counter space is the real cost of a bread box, and four of these five try to give some back. Coiesol builds a raised shelf with front and back rails and side cutout handles for moving it. Sunhoo offers a flat top with lips around the edge to stop things sliding off. Goozii publishes nothing about its top surface at all, despite publishing 9.8 by 16.8 by 14.2 inches of outside dimensions.
ZICOTO takes the cleverest approach on paper: the bamboo lid is designed to double as a serving plate, so the thing covering the bread becomes the thing you cut it on. That is the only second use published by any of the five that is not simply a flat surface. Tiawudi offers none, because its lids lock down and its containers are meant to stand upright.
You want to measure before you buy. Coiesol is the only pick publishing an interior, 14.95 by 9.04 by 7 inches, with a 2.4 inch raised shelf above it, rear vents, a magnetic acrylic door and cutout side handles. It is the heaviest here at 6.61 pounds.
Two layers and real ventilation. Sunhoo publishes holes on the back of both layers and a body of New Zealand solid pine, 14.4 by 9.4 by 13.4 inches in its own words, with a magnetic acrylic window door, a lipped flat top and anti slip pads.
The most counter space you can fill. Goozii’s fields reach 16.8 by 14.2 inches on a double layer bamboo box with two roll up doors, a frosted window, a wooden handle with a magnetic latch and four large rubber feet. It publishes no weight.
A small counter and one loaf at a time. ZICOTO is metal with a bamboo lid, 11.5 by 5 by 9 inches, 3.46 pounds, ventilation in the lid, and a lid designed to serve as a plate. It is a covered box rather than a cabinet.
Freezing half a loaf. Tiawudi is a pair of airtight plastic containers, 5.6 quarts each, with silicone gaskets, four locking lids, freezer and dishwasher safe, and a lifetime guarantee. It is a sealed keeper, not a vented bread box.
Six things a bread box buyer would want from these listings and cannot get.
