How the Five Compare on the Numbers
A mat rolls or folds into a drawer, and what it rolls into is decided by the sheet. Three of these five publish 0.7 mm. One publishes 1.1 mm and one publishes 0.03 inches, which is the same order as the 0.7 group in a different unit. Three of their dimension fields say 0.1 inches instead, and two publish no height field at all.
Two of the three 0.7 mm mats also tell you what they are twice as thick as, and they disagree. Folksy Super Kitchen names 0.4 mm. DANIA & DEAN names 0.3 mm. Neither says whose mat that is, and the only other figures published here are 1.1 mm and 0.03 inches, both of which are greater.
What the table cannot tell you is how thick the roll is. A 0.7 mm mat of 36 by 24 inches rolls into a bigger cylinder than a 0.7 mm mat of 24 by 16, and no listing publishes a rolled diameter. Only volikos publishes an edge height, at 5 mm, which is the one figure here about anything but the flat sheet.
Three Mats at Seven Tenths of a Millimeter
The Same Figure, Two Different Rivals
Folksy Super Kitchen and DANIA & DEAN publish the same thickness and describe it the same way. Folksy calls it a level up pastry mat, states 0.7 mm, and says the silicone pad is almost twice as thick as the others at 0.4 mm. DANIA & DEAN calls it a level up pastry mat too, states 0.7 mm, and names 0.3 mm.
So the two listings that make the loudest thickness claim on this fact sheet are the same thickness, and each is arguing against a figure nobody here publishes. Dwavele publishes 0.7 mm as well and makes no comparison, saying only that the thickness is upgraded to 0.7 mm and that it resists tearing during heavy dough kneading.
What Is Actually Inside the Silicone
DANIA & DEAN publishes the one structural answer here. It states fiberglass was added to reinforce the mat, and its 2026 edition adds fully encapsulated silicone borders to prevent fiberglass shedding. That is a maker naming a failure of its own earlier product and publishing the fix, which nothing else on this page does.
DANIA & DEAN is also the lightest of these five at 0.46 pounds for a 26 by 16 inch mat, which is a thin sheet with a reinforcement inside it rather than a thick one. Folksy publishes 1.12 pounds for 36 by 24 inches at the same 0.7 mm, and the difference between those two figures is area rather than thickness.
One Point One Millimeters, and One Published in Inches
The Mat With an Edge
volikos publishes 1.1 mm of thickness and an edge height of 5 mm, which is the only edge figure on this page. An edge matters in a drawer for the same reason it matters on a counter: a mat with a raised rim is not the same object flat as a plain sheet, and no listing here says what that does to a roll.
volikos also publishes the storage answer the others describe loosely: every package includes a petal silicone tie wrap, so the mat can be rolled up or folded and held. It publishes 1.1 pounds for 28 by 20 inches, platinum silicone, dishwasher cleaning, and both metric and inch measurements with a pie circle printed on it.
Three Hundredths of an Inch
Amazon Basics is the only one of these five that publishes a thickness in inches, at 0.03 in. That works out in the same region as the three 0.7 mm mats, and the listing makes no comparison with anything. It states the mat will not slip or wrinkle during use, which is the claim the 0.7 mm mats attach to their own figure.
It is also the only pick here that asks for hand washing. Amazon Basics states hand wash with warm water and mild soap for best results, where volikos and Dwavele both clear a dishwasher. It publishes 28 by 20 inches, 0.73 pounds, and oven safety up to 480 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the highest single ceiling of these five.
Size, Temperature and How It Goes Away
Twenty Four by Sixteen to Thirty Six by Twenty Four
The mat sizes here run a long way. Dwavele publishes 24 by 16 inches, DANIA & DEAN 26 by 16, Amazon Basics and volikos both 28 by 20, and Folksy Super Kitchen 36 by 24. In a drawer that is the figure that decides whether a rolled mat fits end to end or has to be folded first.
The dimension fields are no help with any of it. Three of our five carry a height field of 0.1 inches against stated thicknesses of 0.7 mm and 1.1 mm, and the other two publish no height field at all. So every thickness on this page comes from a sentence, and the fields describe nothing a drawer cares about.
Temperature, and the Tie in the Box
Three of these five publish a temperature range and they do not agree on either end. DANIA & DEAN publishes minus 45 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and names the oven, the microwave and the freezer. Folksy Super Kitchen publishes minus 30 to 470. Amazon Basics publishes oven safe up to 480 and no low end at all.
volikos and Dwavele publish no temperature figure, which on a mat sold for a dishwasher and an oven is the gap most worth filling. What volikos does publish is a tie: a petal silicone tie wrap in every package. Folksy includes a hair elastic, an instruction sheet and a gift box. Dwavele includes a protective film you peel off before the first bake.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
You want the sheet itself to be substantial. volikos publishes 1.1 mm of thickness and a 5 mm edge height on a 28 by 20 inch mat at 1.1 pounds, in platinum silicone, dishwasher safe, with a petal silicone tie wrap in the box.
You want to know what is inside the silicone. DANIA & DEAN publishes 0.7 mm with fiberglass added to reinforce it, encapsulated silicone borders against shedding in its 2026 edition, minus 45 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and 0.46 pounds for a 26 by 16 inch mat.
The mat has to fold after the dishwasher. Dwavele publishes 0.7 mm upgraded thickness on a 24 by 16 inch mat at 0.84 pounds, states you fold or roll it for storage after dishwasher cleaning, and prints conversion, proportioning and temperature guides on it.
You knead on a whole countertop. Folksy Super Kitchen publishes 36 by 24 inches at 1.12 pounds and 0.7 mm, a non slip back, minus 30 to 470 degrees Fahrenheit, and a hair elastic, an instruction sheet and a gift box in the package.
You would rather have the figure in inches. Amazon Basics publishes 0.03 inches of thickness on a 28 by 20 inch mat at 0.73 pounds, oven safe to 480 degrees Fahrenheit, and states hand washing with warm water and mild soap.
What We Could Not Verify
Every figure above is a maker’s own published number or sentence, taken from the listing itself. These are the things we went looking for across these five listings and could not find.
- A rolled or folded size from any of the five listings, on mats sold to be put away.
- Whose 0.3 mm and 0.4 mm mats DANIA & DEAN and Folksy Super Kitchen are comparing against.
- An edge height from any pick except volikos, which publishes 5 mm.
- A temperature figure from volikos or Dwavele, both of which clear a dishwasher.
- Why three dimension fields read 0.1 inches against stated thicknesses of 0.7 mm and 1.1 mm.
- Any reinforcement statement except the fiberglass DANIA & DEAN names.
