How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Four of the five sets state 16 oz jars. The Mcupper and PINIWON sets hold fifteen each, the ELAORY holds six, and the UONMAY kit holds seven alongside a 20 quart stainless canner with rack and lid. The SZUAH is the only set with 12 oz jars, and it holds twenty. Those capacities are the deciding figures for a beginner, because they set the portion a first batch of jam, pickles or sauce goes into.
Three makers publish a freezer fill line: Mcupper and PINIWON state 12 oz in their 16 oz jars, and SZUAH states 10 oz in its 12 oz jars. Mouth diameters are published as 2.59 inches by Mcupper and PINIWON and 2.6 inches by SZUAH; ELAORY says regular mouth without a figure and UONMAY gives none. Two weights are credible, 8.36 lb for the Mcupper set and 7.0 lb for the UONMAY kit.
The table leaves out what no maker states: the height or diameter of a single jar in words, apart from ELAORY’s 3.2 x 4.5 x 5.5 inch title, which does not say whether it describes one jar or six. Three of the multipack listings carry dimension fields the fact sheet files as package size, and none of the three makers says what those figures measure, so the page quotes them as fields and builds nothing on them.
Jar Capacity and the Freezer Fill Line
What 16 oz and 12 oz mean on the shelf
A 16 oz jar is what Mcupper, PINIWON, ELAORY and UONMAY all describe, and each lists what it expects to go in. Mcupper and PINIWON name pickles, jams, sauces, overnight oats, spices and dry snacks. ELAORY names jam, honey, fruits, vegetables, jelly, spices and pickles. UONMAY names preserves, jams, jellies, pickles, salsa and stew. None of the four says which recipe suits which jar, so the capacity figure is the guidance you get.
The SZUAH’s 12 oz jar is the one departure, and the maker frames it around dry goods, coffee, yogurt, honey and spices as well as canning and pickling, with a smooth inner wall it says resists residue and odor. Twenty jars of 12 oz is a different pantry from fifteen jars of 16 oz: more containers, each holding less. For a beginner who makes small batches of jam, the SZUAH’s capacity is the one that fits; for pickles, the pint sets are.
Where the makers draw the freezer line
Three makers publish how far to fill a jar before it goes in the freezer. Mcupper states a maximum of 12 oz in its 16 oz jar for freezing liquids. PINIWON states the same 12 oz in its 16 oz jar. SZUAH states 10 oz in its 12 oz jar and adds a warning to avoid extreme temperature changes to prevent breakage, the only caution of its kind among the five listings on this page.
ELAORY describes its jars as freezer-safe and microwave-safe but publishes no fill line, so a beginner has a claim without a number. UONMAY publishes nothing about freezing for its seven jars. Where a line exists the page quotes it; where it does not, the page says so rather than borrowing the 12 oz figure from another maker, because no maker publishes a glass thickness figure or a wall profile that would justify the transfer.
Lids, Mouths and Glass: What a Beginner Should Read First
Mouth diameter and lid construction
Three of the five publish a mouth figure. Mcupper states a 2.59 inch regular mouth and says in the same breath that it is not wide mouth. PINIWON states 2.59 inches. SZUAH states 2.6 inches. ELAORY uses the words regular mouth with no figure, and UONMAY publishes no mouth size for its jars at all, though its kit includes a wide-mouth funnel. A published figure matters because replacement lids and funnels are sold by mouth size.
The lids are described in four of the five listings. Mcupper states silver split lids, a band and a disc, with a silicone gasket. PINIWON states a silver split-type lid with a screw band, a flat metal disc and a silicone sealing ring on the rim. SZUAH states a classic two-piece metal lid and band. ELAORY states lids and bands of food-grade metal with plastisol to help avoid rust. UONMAY says nothing about how its jar lids are built.
Glass, microwave and dishwasher statements
Mcupper, PINIWON, SZUAH and ELAORY all call their glass food grade and lead-free; Mcupper, PINIWON and SZUAH add BPA-free, and SZUAH alone calls the glass thick without giving a thickness. UONMAY describes its pot as food-grade stainless steel and says nothing about the glass of its seven jars. For microwave use, Mcupper says lid off, PINIWON says without the lid, SZUAH says lid removed, and ELAORY says microwave-safe without naming the lid.
Dishwasher statements split the same way. Mcupper, PINIWON and ELAORY state dishwasher-safe jars, and PINIWON adds without the lid. SZUAH is the one listing that addresses the lids directly: glass jars dishwasher safe, lids hand washed. UONMAY publishes no dishwasher or microwave statement for its jars. Mcupper and PINIWON each include a sponge brush for hand cleaning the corners, and SZUAH includes a brush as well; ELAORY lists no brush.
The Pot Question and the Two Lookalike Sets
One kit arrives with a canner
A beginner with jars and no pot cannot process a single batch, and only the UONMAY kit answers that. Its listing states a 20 quart food-grade stainless steel water bath canner, 12 inches wide and 11.2 inches high, with a rack and lid, and says the pot works on induction, glass top and gas stoves. Around it come canning tongs, a jar lifter, a wide-mouth funnel, a magnetic lid lifter, labels, measuring cups and a spoon set.
The trade is documentation. UONMAY publishes less about its seven 16 oz jars than any other maker on the page: no mouth figure, no lid construction, no freezer line and no dishwasher or microwave statement. The 7.0 lb it publishes is for the whole kit as listed, with nothing stated for the pot alone. The other four sets are jars, lids and small extras, and none of their listings mentions a pot or a rack.
Mcupper and PINIWON, read side by side
Two of the five picks publish nearly the same listing. Both are 15-packs of 16 oz regular mouth jars, both state a 2.59 inch mouth, both state a 12 oz freezer fill, both describe a silver split lid with a silicone seal, both include 24 labels and a sponge brush, and both state dishwasher and microwave use with the lid off. The fact sheet keeps them as separate products because their published figures differ, and so does this page.
The differences are in what each publishes rather than what each is. Mcupper states a weight for the set, 8.36 lb, and PINIWON states none. PINIWON adds a bundle of string for decoration and says the jars ship in a foam barrier; Mcupper mentions neither. Mcupper’s dimension field reads 3.14 x 3.14 x 5.0 inches and PINIWON’s 3.26 x 3.26 x 4.95 inches, both filed as package size, and neither maker says what the figures measure.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
The beginner with no pot. The UONMAY kit is the only set that includes a canner, a 20 quart stainless pot stated at 12 inches wide and 11.2 inches high with rack and lid, plus seven 16 oz jars and the lifter, funnel and tongs a first batch needs.
The cook who freezes leftovers. Mcupper and PINIWON both state a 12 oz fill line in a 16 oz jar, and SZUAH states 10 oz in a 12 oz jar. ELAORY says freezer-safe without a line, so the three with a figure give you a number to follow.
The small-batch jam maker. The SZUAH’s twenty 12 oz jars with a 2.6 inch regular mouth suit jam, honey and spices, and the maker states dishwasher-safe glass with hand-washed lids and a caution against extreme temperature changes.
The cook who wants a few jars first. ELAORY’s six 16 oz jars with plastisol-lined metal lids are stated dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. The maker writes 3.2 x 4.5 x 5.5 inches but no mouth figure, no fill line and no credible set weight.
The gift-box builder. PINIWON packs fifteen 16 oz jars with 24 labels, a bundle of string and a sponge brush in a foam barrier, with a 2.59 inch mouth and a 12 oz freezer line stated; the Mcupper set matches it on every published jar figure but adds a published 8.36 lb.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures the five listings do not settle, and the page leaves them open.
- A set weight for ELAORY; the 0.59 lb field cannot describe six glass pint jars, so it is set aside.
- Any weight for PINIWON or SZUAH; neither publishes one.
- What ELAORY’s 3.2 x 4.5 x 5.5 inch figure measures, one jar or the pack of six; the maker does not say.
- What the package dimension fields on Mcupper, PINIWON and SZUAH measure; the makers write no size in words.
- A mouth diameter, lid construction, freezer line or dishwasher statement for the UONMAY jars; none is published.
- A glass thickness figure for any of the five; SZUAH calls its glass thick without a number.
