How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Kohler publishes a full set for the Simplice 596-VS: 9.61 inches wide, 9.02 inches deep, 16.61 inches tall and 6.11 pounds. Kingston Brass publishes a full set for the Heritage at 8.56 by 13.88 by 13.13 inches and 8.1 pounds. Those two are the only picks with a published weight, which makes them the only two whose figures can be checked against each other without a gap.
Moen publishes 10.25 by 7.5 by 14.56 inches for the Adler and no weight. WEWE publishes 8.5 by 10.0 by 15.7 inches and no weight. Kohler publishes 12.0 by 28.75 by 3.0 inches and 5.0 pounds for the 597-CP, but a 3.0 inch height does not match a faucet the maker calls high arch, so those figures need confirming before you rely on them.
The table cannot tell you how any of these feels to use, how loud the spray is, or how smoothly the handle turns. It also cannot tell you which of the three published figures is the depth and which is the height of the object, because the listing does not say. Treat the figures as spans the maker publishes, not as a map of the faucet.
Where the Published Figures Are Complete
Two makers publish all four numbers
Kohler gives width, depth, height and weight for the Simplice 596-VS, and Kingston Brass gives the same four for the Heritage. That completeness is the whole reason both appear here. A reader planning around a cabinet, a backsplash or a sink deck can check every figure the maker offers instead of working around a blank.
The two differ in what they do. The Kohler has a spout that rotates a full 360 degrees, three spray settings and a magnetic docking system. The Kingston is a bridge faucet with an 8 inch spread four hole mount and no pull down sprayer. Choose on the feature, then confirm the published figures fit.
Where weight is the only unambiguous figure
Weight is the one number on this sheet that cannot be read two ways. The Kohler 596-VS is published at 6.11 pounds and the Kingston at 8.1 pounds, a difference of 1.99 pounds. The Kohler 597-CP is published at 5.0 pounds, the lightest published weight among the five picks.
Moen and WEWE publish no weight at all. That is not a mark against the faucets themselves, only against the paperwork. If weight matters to your installation, the two Kohler models and the Kingston are the only picks with a figure to work from.
Where the Figures Need Checking
The 597-CP numbers do not agree with the words
Kohler describes the 597-CP as a high arch pull down faucet and publishes 12.0 by 28.75 by 3.0 inches. A 3.0 inch height does not fit that description, and 28.75 inches is far larger than any other depth on the sheet. The maker also states a 3 percent flow increase for Boost on this model, against 30 percent on the 596-VS.
None of that makes the faucet unusable. It does mean the published figures should be confirmed with the manufacturer before you order around them. This is exactly the case where a complete set of numbers is worth less than a consistent one.
Moen and WEWE leave weight out
Moen publishes 10.25 by 7.5 by 14.56 inches for the Adler and states Power Clean spray technology at 50 percent more spray power than its faucets without it. The maker also lists a size text of 24.7 by 12.3 by 14.6 inches, which does not match the dimension fields. WEWE publishes 8.5 by 10.0 by 15.7 inches and a size text of 17 inch height, again not matching the field.
Both faucets have real features: Reflex docking on the Moen, a shorter handle and a gravity ball retraction system on the WEWE. Both leave weight unpublished, and both carry a size text that disagrees with the fields. Confirm the figure you need before ordering.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
You want the most complete paperwork. The Kohler Simplice 596-VS publishes all four figures and a weight, with a 360 degree spout and three spray settings. Start here if you would rather not chase a missing number.
You have a low opening above the sink. The Moen Adler publishes 14.56 inches of height, the lowest published height among the five picks, with Reflex sprayhead docking. Check it against your clearance before ordering.
You have a short backsplash. The WEWE publishes 15.7 inches of height and a shorter handle stated for backsplash clearance, plus a deck plate for one or three hole installs. Weight is not published.
You want a bridge faucet with a published weight. The Kingston Heritage publishes 8.1 pounds and an 8 inch spread four hole mount, with solid brass construction and no pull down sprayer.
You want a second Simplice option. The Kohler 597-CP publishes a weight of 5.0 pounds and three spray functions, but its height and depth figures need confirming with the maker first.
What We Could Not Verify
Several figures a buyer would want are simply not on the sheet, and we have not filled them in.
- No capacity figure is published for any of the five faucets.
- Moen does not publish a weight for the Adler 87233BL.
- WEWE does not publish a weight for its pull down faucet.
- Kohler’s 597-CP height and depth figures do not match its own high arch description.
- The Moen and WEWE size texts disagree with their dimension fields.
- No published figure describes spray force, noise or handle feel in use.
