How the Five Compare on the Numbers
A drying mat with nothing on it has no parts. The moment a rack, a tray or a cutlery holder is added, it does, and the question becomes which piece lifts away, what is holding it there and what the maker will tell you about the piece once it is in your hand. Four of these five state that something comes off. One of them explains the fitting.
The published figures around that are uneven. All five publish a weight, but one of those is 0.1 lb for a mat and a plastic tray together. Two publish dimension fields that contradict the maker’s own stated size, and two publish a size slot that disagrees with their own bullets. Exactly one publishes a measurement for the part that comes out.
What the table cannot tell you is whether any detached part can be had again. None of the five offers a replacement tray, holder or mat, so a lost cutlery holder is a lost rack. Two of the five use the words detachable or removable with nothing behind them, which is the commonest shape of claim on this shelf: the part is stated to come off and the fitting that releases it is never named.
The Fittings and the Positions
Lalaunicky Seats Four Feet in Cut Grooves
Lalaunicky is the only listing among these five that explains a fitting, and it does so in two places. One bullet states that pre-cut grooves on the stone base accommodate the rack’s four feet for added stability. Another states that the stainless steel frame has four raised feet which fit precisely into those grooves, holding it steady and leaving a small gap between frame and mat.
Its composition bullet lists a stainless steel rack, a detachable cutlery holder and an absorbent diatomaceous earth mat, and a later bullet states that the rack and the mat can be used separately, the mat doubling as a coffee maker or pet bowl mat. It states a stone mat 1 cm thick, rubber pads underneath, wooden handles, and 16 by 12 inches. At 4.18 lb it is the heaviest pick here.
Umbra Washes Each Piece Its Own Way
Umbra is the only pick that publishes a separate cleaning route for each of its two pieces. The plastic dish drainer tray is stated dishwasher safe on a top rack only. The microfiber mat is stated machine washable. Those are different machines for different materials, and no other listing on this page divides its cleaning instruction by the part it applies to.
The same tray bullet gives the only moving fitting here: BPA free plastic, secured to the middle or the side of the microfiber mat, sliding in and out easily. Two positions matter more than they sound, since central takes a mixed load and one edge leaves a clear run of microfiber. A further bullet states the rack folds flat for storage in a drawer or cupboard.
The Parts That Come Off Without Explanation
XYZLVSI Measures the Mat That Lifts Out
XYZLVSI is the only pick on this page that measures a piece rather than a product. Its sizing bullet publishes the dish rack at 16.9 by 6.8 by 5.1 in and then the drying mat separately at 16.5 by 6.7 by 0.6 in, which is a thickness as well as a footprint for a part that comes away. Nothing else here publishes a figure for anything removable.
It is also the only pick naming the material of each removed part, sturdy plastic for the silverware caddy and flexible silicone for the mat, against stainless steel wire for the rack. Its cleaning line is scoped to match: mild soap and water in general, with the drying mat alone cleared for a dishwasher. What it never states is how either removable part is held.
ANTOPY Detaches a Cutlery Holder
ANTOPY states the part and skips the fitting. Its multi use bullet publishes twelve slots in total for plates, pot lids, cups, bowls and cutting boards, and a detachable cutlery holder with three slots and drainage holes. Its setup bullet states that assembly is easy and fast with no tools and no screws, which is the only assembly claim published by any of these five.
A further bullet states that the slim plate rack can be moved away and stored while the silicone drying tray carries on providing drying space, so the two halves are usable apart. It states cleaning by a rinse or a brush with water, and a soft tip on every peg. Its size slot reads 15.4 in against the 16.5 by 6.7 by 6 in its own bullet and its fields both give.
Folding Instead of Detaching
chilinii Collapses in One Piece
chilinii answers the question without taking anything apart. No bullet names a detachable or removable part. What it states instead is that the rack folds up into a drawer or cabinet, and that the folding design allows it to be placed in a dishwasher for regular cleaning. That makes it the only pick clearing the whole assembly for a machine rather than one piece of it.
Underneath the wire it publishes food grade 304 stainless steel, a satin coated steel wire surface and a stainless steel drain board with a sloping surface and a large drainage outlet. It states the rack extends over sinks up to 21 inches in width, stands on soft non-slip feet, and arrives with a separate drying mat. It publishes 1.27 lb, the lowest of the four weights this page uses.
What the Published Sizes Cannot Settle
Four of these five disagree with themselves on size. The chilinii fields read 15.0 by 17.3 by 8.7 in while its own bullet states the product is 15.7 by 11.6 inches. The Umbra fields read 13.5 by 8.0 by 2.0 in against a stated 20 by 13 in. The ANTOPY size slot states 15.4 in where its bullet and its fields agree on 16.5 in.
The XYZLVSI case is the subtlest and the most instructive. Its size slot gives 6.7 in across, which is exactly the width its own bullet publishes for the drying mat, not the 6.8 in it publishes for the rack. A component figure has been filed as the product’s. In every one of these cases this page uses the maker’s sentence and reports the field.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
You want to know how the two halves meet. Lalaunicky states four raised feet seated into pre-cut grooves on a diatomaceous earth base 1 cm thick, with a detachable cutlery holder and no installation. It publishes 4.18 lb and 12.0 by 16.0 by 6.0 in.
You want each piece washed properly. Umbra clears the plastic tray for a dishwasher top rack and the microfiber mat for a washing machine, and the tray secures to the middle or the side and slides in and out. Its stated size is 20 by 13 in.
You want a figure for the piece that lifts out. XYZLVSI publishes its mat at 16.5 by 6.7 by 0.6 in beside a rack at 16.9 by 6.8 by 5.1 in, names plastic for the caddy and silicone for the mat, and publishes 2.4 lb.
You want the most slots with a holder that comes off. ANTOPY publishes twelve slots and a detachable three slot cutlery holder with drainage holes, assembles with no tools and no screws, and publishes 2.25 lb and 16.5 by 6.7 by 6.0 in.
You would rather put the whole rack in the machine. chilinii states the folding design can be cleaned regularly in a dishwasher, extends over sinks up to 21 inches in width, and comes with a separate mat. It publishes 1.27 lb and a stated 15.7 by 11.6 inches.
What We Could Not Verify
Six things a reader buying for access to parts would want, and no listing among these five supplies.
- A replacement tray, cutlery holder or drying mat sold separately by any of the five.
- What the ANTOPY cutlery holder attaches to, since detachable is published with no fitting behind it.
- What holds the XYZLVSI caddy and silicone mat in place, where both are stated to be removable.
- Whether the Lalaunicky cutlery holder is steel, plastic or stone, since its material is the only one unnamed.
- Any figure for the Umbra tray or the XYZLVSI caddy, where only the mats and the frames are measured.
- Whether the Umbra tray fits any mat other than the one it arrives on, since only two positions are published.
