How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Four of the five publish a 34 ounce capacity, so capacity separates only the QUQIYSO at 21 ounces. Filtration separates them more: Utopia Kitchen states an 80 mesh filter, Veken and Cafe Du Chateau state four layer systems, and AgcKuzt and QUQIYSO describe multi layer or spring filtration without a mesh figure. Bodum publishes neither a capacity nor a filtration detail in its feature list.
Dimensions vary enough to matter on a counter. AgcKuzt publishes the largest width at 7.37 in and a depth of 4.15 in. Utopia Kitchen publishes the largest depth at 9.0 in and the smallest height at 6.0 in. Cafe Du Chateau publishes the largest height at 10.75 in. Weight is published for three of the five, and the spread between the lightest and heaviest is under two tenths of a pound.
The table does not tell you how any of these presses brews. No mesh count, layer count or thermal figure describes extraction, and none of the five makers publishes a brew time except Cafe Du Chateau, which states 4 to 5 minutes. Weight is missing for two picks, so the lightest and heaviest claims apply only to the three that publish a figure.
Filtration Claims and What They Actually State
The one published mesh count
Utopia Kitchen is the only pick that puts a number on its filter: 80 mesh, inside what it calls a four filter sieve system with an improved piston plate. That is the single most specific filtration claim across the five. It does not tell you how the coffee tastes, and the maker’s own wording about earthy and rich flavor is a description rather than a measurement.
Veken and Cafe Du Chateau both describe four layer or four level filtration, but neither publishes a mesh figure. Veken names the layers: spiral plate, cross plate and two fine mesh screens. Cafe Du Chateau states a four level stainless steel system that keeps grounds out while allowing oils through. Two makers, two four layer claims, no shared unit of comparison.
Filters described without a number
AgcKuzt states a multi layer mesh filter that separates grounds while preserving oils, and notes it disassembles easily. QUQIYSO describes a perforated plate and springs, and says the spring selection affects how coffee powder is filtered. Neither publishes a mesh count, so neither can be ranked against the Utopia Kitchen figure.
Bodum publishes no filtration detail at all in its feature list, which covers washing before first use, stovetop warnings, lid position and an easy to clean carafe. That is the thinnest published feature set of the five, and it means filtration cannot be compared for this pick in any form.
Body Material, Heat and Cleaning
Glass against stainless steel
AgcKuzt is the only full stainless steel body among the five, described as double wall with a brushed finish and an ergonomic handle. The maker frames it around heat retention and durability, and states there is no breakage concern. The other four use borosilicate glass, and three of those add a frame or handle in plastic or stainless steel.
Veken is the only pick that publishes a heat figure: a thermal shock resistance of 360 F for its high borosilicate carafe. Utopia Kitchen describes its glass as made to withstand rapid temperature changes, and Cafe Du Chateau and QUQIYSO describe borosilicate glass in similar terms, but none of the three attaches a number. So heat handling is comparable for one pick and descriptive for the rest.
What each maker says about cleaning
The cleaning guidance is unusually consistent. Every maker that addresses it lists the glass beaker or carafe as dishwasher safe, and every maker that addresses the lid says to hand wash it. Utopia Kitchen warns against rough scrubbers, and QUQIYSO specifies a non abrasive sponge and mild dish soap. Veken lists the plunger and filter as simple to rinse.
AgcKuzt states dishwasher safe components and includes two extra screens for replacement, which no other pick mentions. Bodum lists only an easy to clean glass carafe. Cafe Du Chateau states the glass carafe is dishwasher safe and the filter rinses clean quickly. None of the five publishes a cleaning time or a parts diagram.
Capacity and Footprint on the Counter
One small carafe among four large ones
QUQIYSO is the only pick below 34 ounces, at 21 ounces. It is also the second narrowest at 5.27 in wide and publishes the smallest depth at 3.34 in, so it takes the least counter space of the five. It is listed for tea, hot chocolate, cold brew, frothed milk and nut milks alongside coffee, which is the broadest drink list published here.
The other four all publish 34 ounces. AgcKuzt states that capacity makes 4 to 8 cups, and Cafe Du Chateau describes a 4 cup capacity. Utopia Kitchen, Veken and Bodum publish the ounce figure without a cup conversion. If you brew for one person, the 21 ounce QUQIYSO is the only pick sized for that.
Height, width and depth in practice
Cafe Du Chateau publishes the largest height at 10.75 in, which is more than four inches taller than the smallest. Utopia Kitchen publishes the smallest height at 6.0 in but the largest depth at 9.0 in, so it takes more front to back room than any other. AgcKuzt publishes the largest width at 7.37 in and a depth of 4.15 in, a wide and flat footprint.
Veken publishes the smallest width at 4.13 in and is 8.39 in tall. Bodum sits at 5.5 in wide, 4.2 in deep and 9.0 in tall. If the press has to fit under a cabinet shelf, height is the constraint, and Cafe Du Chateau and Bodum publish the two largest heights. If it has to fit a narrow shelf, Veken publishes the smallest width.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
You want the most specific filtration claim. The Utopia Kitchen 34 oz is the only pick that publishes a mesh count, at 80 mesh, inside a four filter sieve system. It also publishes the smallest height at 6.0 in, though its depth of 9.0 in is the largest here.
You want no plastic touching the coffee. The Veken 34 oz states 304 stainless steel and food grade silicone with plastic free brewing surfaces, and it is the only pick that publishes a heat tolerance, at 360 F. It also publishes the smallest width at 4.13 in.
You want a body that cannot shatter. The AgcKuzt 34 oz is the only full stainless steel pick, double wall and brushed. It publishes a 34 ounce capacity that makes 4 to 8 cups and ships with two extra screens, but it publishes the largest width at 7.37 in.
You want one carafe for coffee and tea. The Cafe Du Chateau 34 oz states a four level stainless filter and lists loose leaf tea and herbal infusions alongside coffee. It publishes the largest height at 10.75 in, so check your shelf clearance before buying.
You brew for one and want a small footprint. The QUQIYSO 21 oz is the only pick under 34 ounces, and at 5.27 in wide and 3.34 in deep it takes the least counter space. It lists the widest range of drinks, from coffee to frothed milk and nut milks.
What We Could Not Verify
Several figures that would decide a purchase are simply not published by the makers, and we have not filled them in.
- A mesh count for the AgcKuzt, QUQIYSO and Bodum filters, which none of those makers states.
- A weight for the Veken 34 oz and the Cafe Du Chateau 34 oz, both listed as not published.
- A heat tolerance figure for any pick other than the Veken, which is the only one stating 360 F.
- A cup conversion for the Utopia Kitchen, Veken and Bodum 34 ounce capacities.
- A brew time for any pick except Cafe Du Chateau, which states 4 to 5 minutes.
- Any filtration detail at all for the Bodum, whose published features cover use and care only.
