How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Eight products were in this pool and three of them are not handles at all. Kitchen Mama and Cuisinart are both electric can openers, which have nothing to do with cabinet hardware and are excluded outright. Hickory Hardware is a real knob but publishes only a 1-1/4 inch diameter and no weight, no length and no projection, so there was nothing to compare it on.
What decides this category is one measurement: hole center, the distance between the two drill holes. Ravinte and Rok both state 3 inches. Franklin Brass and Richelieu both state 4 inches. Goldenwarm is a single hole knob and has no hole center at all, which makes it the only pick here that cannot be swapped onto an existing two hole drawer.
The pack weights in that last row are not comparable and no ranking is drawn from them. They cover one, ten, twenty and thirty pieces, and one figure stands out anyway: Rok publishes 6.68 pounds for 20 pulls where Ravinte publishes 3.22 pounds for 30. Rok’s pulls are 6 inches long against Ravinte’s 5, but a pack with two thirds the count and twice the mass is worth noticing before ordering.
Hole Center Is the Only Measurement That Must Match
Three Inch Centers Against Four
If your cabinets already have holes drilled, the hole center decides everything and no other specification on this page can rescue a wrong one. Ravinte states 3 inches, given as 76 mm. Rok states 3 inches, given as 76.2 mm, which is the same measurement written more precisely. Franklin Brass and Richelieu both state 4 inches, given as 102 mm on both listings.
That splits the four pulls into two pairs that cannot be substituted for each other. It also means the choice inside each pair comes down to everything else: pack size, projection, bar thickness, finish and what screws arrive in the bag. Nothing here is a universal fit, and no listing on this page offers an adjustable center.
The Knob That Needs Only One Hole
Goldenwarm is the exception and it matters. Its size field reads single hole, and its bullets give a diameter of 12 mm, an overall length of 50 mm or 2 inches, and a projection of 32 mm or 1-1/4 inch. There is no hole center because there is only one screw. Fitted to a drawer drilled for a two hole pull, it would leave a second hole showing.
What it does offer is the easiest fit on new or undrilled doors, since a single hole is simpler to mark and drill accurately than a pair. It also ships two screw lengths, 1 inch and 1.77 inch, which is the most screw provision on this page and covers thicker drawer fronts without a second purchase.
Projection, Thickness and What the Handle Feels Like
How Far It Stands Off the Door
Projection is the figure that decides whether your fingers fit behind the bar, and four of the five publish it. Richelieu and Rok both state 1-3/8 inch, given as 35 mm. Ravinte and Goldenwarm both state 1-1/4 inch, given as 32 mm. Franklin Brass publishes no projection at all, which on a bar pull is the specification most likely to disappoint after installation.
The difference between 32 and 35 mm sounds trivial and is not, on a handle used many times a day. Neither listing explains how the figure was measured, whether from the door face to the front of the bar or to its center, so treat the two numbers as the same order of clearance rather than as a ranking.
The Bar Itself
Thickness is where the listings differ most in how they write the same number. Ravinte states a diameter of 1/2 inch, given as 12 mm. Rok states a bar diameter of 15/32 inch, also given as 12 mm. Goldenwarm states 12 mm. Richelieu is the outlier at 5/16 inch, given as 8 mm, and it calls that measurement width rather than diameter, top to bottom.
So three of the four measured bars are the same 12 mm and one is noticeably slimmer at 8 mm. Franklin Brass publishes no thickness. Richelieu’s slimmer bar is consistent with the rest of its listing, which describes a flat sided functional pull rather than a round European bar, and it is the only pick that names a steel grade to go with it.
Packs, Screws and What the Listings Leave Out
One Pull, Ten, Twenty or Thirty
Pack sizes here cover a whole kitchen or a single replacement. Ravinte sells 30 pulls, Rok sells 20, Franklin Brass and Goldenwarm sell 10, and Richelieu sells one. Richelieu is the only pick you can buy singly, which is the right answer for replacing a broken handle on an existing run rather than refitting a room.
Because every bulk listing had its dimension fields voided as packaging, the only dimension fields on this page belong to Richelieu, and even those disagree with its own bullets: the fields read 3 by 5 by 0.25 inches where the bullets state a length of 4 5/16 inches and a width of 5/16. The bullet figures are the ones used here.
Screws Are Where Two Listings Earn Their Place
Rok and Goldenwarm are the two listings that treat screws as a specification rather than an afterthought. Rok states 1 inch mounting screws with an 8-32 thread, says each handle is individually polybagged, and goes as far as naming a breakaway screw product to search for if your drawer boxes are thick. Goldenwarm supplies both 1 inch and 1.77 inch screws and offers longer ones on request.
Richelieu states that mounting hardware is included with an 8/32 screw. Ravinte and Franklin Brass never mention screws at all, which for a 30 pack and a 10 pack is an omission a buyer only discovers after the box arrives. Ravinte does offer the longest assurance here, a 365 day evaluation period.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
The one broken handle. Richelieu is the only pick sold per unit, at 4 inch hole centers with 304 grade stainless steel, a 4 5/16 inch length, 1 3/8 inch projection and a slim 5/16 inch bar, with mounting hardware included.
The whole kitchen in matte black. Ravinte supplies 30 stainless pulls at 3 inch centers, 5 inches long with a 1/2 inch bar and 1-1/4 inch projection, backed by a 365 day evaluation. Screws are not mentioned.
The busy kitchen with thick drawer boxes. Rok supplies 20 solid steel pulls at 3 inch centers, 6 inches long with a 1-3/8 inch projection, each individually bagged with 1 inch screws, and names a longer screw product if needed.
The four inch centers already drilled. Franklin Brass supplies 10 satin nickel pulls at 4 inch centers from its Lombard collection. It publishes no length, no projection, no bar thickness and no material beyond the finish.
The doors with one hole or none. Goldenwarm supplies 10 brushed brass knobs on a single screw, 50 mm long with a 12 mm diameter and 32 mm projection, and ships two screw lengths, 1 inch and 1.77 inch.
What We Could Not Verify
Everything above is from the listings. These are the things looked for there and not found.
- Franklin Brass publishes no length, no projection, no bar thickness and no material beyond a satin nickel finish.
- No listing states how projection was measured, whether to the front of the bar or its center.
- Richelieu’s dimension fields read 3 by 5 by 0.25 inches where its own bullets state 4 5/16 by 5/16.
- Only Richelieu names a steel grade, so the other three metal claims cannot be compared.
- Ravinte and Franklin Brass never mention mounting screws at all.
- Pack weights cover one, ten, twenty and thirty pieces, so none of them can be ranked against another.
