How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Two of these five put a size and a cabinet in the same sentence. KAXJULE says the sealer measures 13.77 x 4.33 x 1.96 inches and is easy to store in a cabinet or drawer. Bonsenkitchen says 15.28 x 5.71 x 3.03 inches and 2.7 lbs for easy drawer or cabinet storage. Nobody else here does both.
FoodSaver takes a different line: it says the machine stores vertical to save countertop space, and publishes no size in words at all. MEGAWISE claims minimum storage space and then gives two different sizes, 15.2 x 4.1 x 2.3 inches in a bullet and 16.14 x 5.59 x 4.02 inches in its size field. FEPPO mentions a drawer only to explain a travel lock.
The table cannot tell you which published figure is the front to back depth, and that is the figure a shallow cabinet closes on. Not one of these five says which of its three numbers is which. What two of them do give is a size in a sentence rather than a field, and on a machine this long the difference between 1.96 inches and 13.77 inches decides whether a door shuts.
Where Each Maker Says the Machine Goes
Two Listings That Name a Cabinet
KAXJULE is the clearest of the five. Its own bullet reads that the sealer measures 13.77 x 4.33 x 1.96 inches, that the compact portable design takes up minimal countertop space, and that it is easy to store in a cabinet or drawer. That is a size and a destination in one sentence, which nothing else on this page manages except Bonsenkitchen.
Bonsenkitchen puts the same two things together with a weight added: a compact design measuring 15.28 x 5.71 x 3.03 inches and weighing only 2.7 lbs for easy drawer or cabinet storage. Its published weight field reads 3.78 lb instead, which is more than a pound apart from its own sentence, and the listing never explains which figure to plan around.
Vertical, Minimum, and a Travel Lock
FoodSaver is the only listing of the five that says which way up the machine goes: it stores vertical to save valuable countertop space. That is useful and incomplete at once, because the listing publishes no size in its own words and its fields read 5.59 x 17.91 x 10.24 inches, so which of those becomes the standing height is not stated.
MEGAWISE and FEPPO both gesture at storage without committing. MEGAWISE says the machine is only 15.2 x 4.1 x 2.3in and takes minimum storage or countertop space, while its size field says 16.14 x 5.59 x 4.02 inches and its dimension fields read 4.5 x 15.0 x 2.5 inches. FEPPO names a drawer only to say a travel lock stops it switching on inside one.
What Each Machine Actually Is
Three Bars, a Box and a Stick
The five are not the same shape of object. KAXJULE, Bonsenkitchen and MEGAWISE are all long low bars: their fields run 13.77, 15.28 and 15.0 inches on one side and 1.96, 3.03 and 2.5 inches on another. A shallow cabinet takes any of them if the long side runs left to right.
FoodSaver is the box of the five, with fields of 5.59 x 17.91 x 10.24 inches and 4.5 lb, and it is the one that says to stand it up. FEPPO is a stick: 1.81 x 1.81 x 7.8 inches and 0.63 lb, cordless, with a 1800mAh battery and Type-C charging, plus 3 containers at 900, 1300 and 2000 ml.
What Arrives in the Box
The starter kits differ more than the machines. FoodSaver includes one 11 inch by 8 foot roll, 3 quart sized bags and 2 gallon sized bags. FEPPO includes 10 reusable bags and 3 containers at 900, 1300 and 2000 ml, plus a Type-C cable. KAXJULE and MEGAWISE each include 10 bags, and MEGAWISE adds a vacuum hose.
Bonsenkitchen includes 5 vacuum bags, an air suction hose and 2 external interfaces, which is the fewest bags of the five. It also publishes the one throughput figure on this page: up to 30 bags continuously in 15 minutes. MEGAWISE publishes a 12 inch sealing wire it says supports 3 to 5 bags at one time.
Suction, Modes and Cleaning
Three Publish a Suction Figure
Three of the five publish a suction rating. KAXJULE states 85 kPa and a 10 to 15 second seal. MEGAWISE states 80 kPa from a DC motor pump with a pure copper core and a 10 to 20 second cycle. FEPPO states 65 kPa and says it removes air in seconds without giving a figure for how many.
Bonsenkitchen and FoodSaver publish no suction figure at all. Bonsenkitchen describes faster and more efficient airtight seals and gives a throughput instead, 30 bags in 15 minutes. FoodSaver claims food stays fresh in the freezer up to 5x longer and seals with 35% less bag waste than previous models, which is a claim about bags rather than about air.
Modes, and the One Machine You Can Take Apart
KAXJULE publishes the most modes: Dry, Moist, Vacuum Seal, Quick Seal and External Vacuum, five in all. Bonsenkitchen publishes four, named Vac and Seal, Pulse Vac, Seal and Accessory, with the last one for jars or sous vide bags. MEGAWISE publishes Dry, Moist, Vac Pulse and Seal. FEPPO publishes two, Manual and Auto-Stop. FoodSaver publishes Dry and Moist.
Cleaning is where the five thin out. KAXJULE is the only machine of the five with a part you can remove: its bottom cover comes off for separate cleaning, which it ties to keeping water out of the unit. FEPPO says its 3 containers are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe with the lids excluded. The other three publish nothing on cleaning.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
A cabinet you have already measured. KAXJULE, 13.77 x 4.33 x 1.96 inches in its own bullet and stated for a cabinet or a drawer, at 1.43 lb. 85 kPa, five modes, a 10 to 15 second seal and a bottom cover that comes off to clean.
Thirty bags in one sitting. Bonsenkitchen, stated at 15.28 x 5.71 x 3.03 inches and 2.7 lbs for drawer or cabinet storage, with 30 bags continuously in 15 minutes. Note the 3.78 lb in its weight field against the 2.7 lbs in its bullet.
A shelf with height but no depth. FoodSaver, the only listing of the five that says it stores vertical. Fields of 5.59 x 17.91 x 10.24 inches and 4.5 lb, with an 11 inch by 8 foot roll, 3 quart bags and 2 gallon bags in the box.
Nothing a cabinet would notice. FEPPO, a cordless stick at 1.81 x 1.81 x 7.8 inches and 0.63 lb, with a 1800mAh battery, 65 kPa, 10 reusable bags and 3 containers at 900, 1300 and 2000 ml.
Several bags at a time. MEGAWISE, a 12 inch sealing wire it says seals 3 to 5 bags at once, 80 kPa and a 10 to 20 second cycle, at 2.65 lb. It publishes three different sizes, so measure before you plan a shelf.
What We Could Not Verify
Everything above comes from the five listings themselves. These are the things they do not say.
- None of the five says which of its three published figures is the front to back depth.
- Bonsenkitchen states 2.7 lbs in its own bullet while its weight field reads 3.78 lb.
- MEGAWISE states 15.2 x 4.1 x 2.3 inches in a bullet, 16.14 x 5.59 x 4.02 inches in its size field, and carries 4.5 x 15.0 x 2.5 inches in its dimension fields.
- FoodSaver says it stores vertical and publishes no size in words, so which figure becomes the standing height is unstated.
- Bonsenkitchen and FoodSaver publish no suction rating in kPa or in any other unit.
- Bonsenkitchen, FoodSaver and MEGAWISE publish nothing about cleaning the machine.
