How the Five Compare on the Numbers
The five picks differ most on cavity size and on what the maker publishes. The ZLINE WAS-30 and the Forno Vomero each publish 5.0 cu. ft. cavities, while the Empava publishes 2.3 cu. ft. and the Takywep and Acekool each publish 2.5 cu. ft. The Forno is the only double oven, so its total published capacity is 10.0 cu. ft. across two cavities.
Weight is published for only three of the five picks. The Empava publishes 71.65 pounds, the Acekool 89.95 pounds and the Forno 204.47 pounds. The ZLINE does not publish a weight. The Forno also does not publish width, depth or height, so a reader with a fixed cutout has less to work with there than with the other four.
The table does not tell you how any of these ovens performs. It records what each maker states. A published 5.0 cu. ft. cavity does not mean food cooks faster, and a published 2000W element does not mean a better broil. The table also cannot show whether a cutout will accept a given oven, because only one product on the full fact sheet publishes a cutout dimension, and that product is not among the five picks.
What Each Oven Does That the Others Do Not
Air fry and true convection on the ZLINE
The ZLINE WAS-30 is the only pick that publishes an air fry mode alongside true convection bake, convection roast and convection broil. The other four picks list convection, but none names all three convection modes. The ZLINE also publishes a 5.0 cu. ft. cavity, the largest single cavity among the five picks.
The ZLINE publishes a width of 29.88 inches, a depth of 24.5 inches and a height of 28.63 inches. It does not publish a weight. Its touchscreen control panel includes a child lock. A reader who needs a 30 inch single oven with air fry has a published set of figures to work from here, and a reader who needs a weight does not.
Two cavities on the Forno Vomero
The Forno Vomero is the only double oven among the five picks. It publishes two 5.0 cu. ft. cavities, a 2000W broiler and a 1500W hidden bake element in the upper oven, and a 2000W broiler and a 1500W bake element without a fan in the lower oven. The upper oven adds a 50W convection fan.
The Forno publishes a weight of 204.47 pounds, the heaviest among the five picks. It does not publish width, depth or height. That is the tradeoff: the most published capacity and the most published element wattages, but no published exterior dimensions for a reader to check against a cutout.
Steam, Presets and the Smaller Cavities
Steam on the Takywep
The Takywep 24 inch is the only pick that publishes a steam range, 60 to 110 C, and a water tank. It also publishes roasting from 100 to 250 C, 8 preset modes and 108 smart menus. Its cavity is 2.5 cu. ft., and it publishes a weight of 90.26 pounds.
The Takywep publishes a width of 22.0 inches, a depth of 21.7 inches and a height of 23.4 inches. Its door uses double glass with a Low-E coating. A reader who wants steam in a 24 inch opening has published temperature ranges to compare, and a reader who wants a lighter oven has the Empava instead.
Presets on the Acekool
The Acekool 24 inch publishes five automatic recipes and a 2.5 cu. ft. cavity. It lists a 70L capacity figure alongside the cubic feet figure. Its door is double layered glass, and it includes a safety lock and a timer. It publishes a weight of 89.95 pounds.
The Acekool publishes a width of 25.87 inches, a depth of 26.89 inches and a height of 25.87 inches. That depth is the largest among the five picks. A reader with a shallow cabinet should check that figure first, because the Acekool needs more depth than the Takywep or the Empava.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
A reader with a 30 inch single oven cutout. The ZLINE WAS-30 publishes a 29.88 inch width and a 5.0 cu. ft. cavity. It is the only pick with air fry and all three convection modes named.
A reader who cooks two dishes at once. The Forno Vomero publishes two 5.0 cu. ft. cavities and separate element wattages for each. It is the only double oven among the five picks.
A reader who wants steam. The Takywep 24 inch publishes a steam range of 60 to 110 C and a water tank. No other pick publishes a steam temperature range.
A reader who wants preset recipes. The Acekool 24 inch publishes five automatic recipes and a 2.5 cu. ft. cavity. Its published depth of 26.89 inches is the largest of the five picks.
A reader who needs a published weight. The Empava 24 inch publishes 71.65 pounds, the only weight given among the five picks. It also publishes a 2.3 cu. ft. cavity and five rack positions.
What We Could Not Verify
Several figures a buyer would want are not on the fact sheet. These are the ones I could not source.
- The ZLINE WAS-30 weight is not published.
- The Forno Vomero width, depth and height are not published.
- The Garvee width, depth and height are not published.
- The Zomagas size field is null, and its published dimensions do not match its title.
- The thermomate weight is not published.
- No pick publishes a cutout dimension, only exterior dimensions or nothing at all.
