Packing drinks for a family is decided by three things: how much each vessel holds, whether the lid will survive being upside down in a bag, and how long the drink stays cold between breakfast and lunch. All three are published here, and the insulation figures for nominally identical tumblers disagree by a factor of two.
Published weights run from 0.4 pounds for the YETI Rambler, which is a figure worth doubting, to 1.41 pounds for the WATERSY 40 oz, the heaviest of the five. Stated capacities run from 16 oz per cup in a set of five up to 40 oz in a single tumbler with a handle.

The table cannot tell you how these were tested, because none of the insulation claims names a starting temperature, an ambient temperature or an end point. It cannot give a cold retention figure for three of the five. And it cannot tell you the wall thickness of any vessel, which is what actually drives both insulation and dent resistance.
Insulation Hours That Do Not Agree
Twelve hours or twenty four
SUNWILL states that its 20 oz tumbler keeps drinks hot for over 6 hours and cold for around 24 hours. Two other 20 oz tumblers in this pool state half that: Orebigo states cold for over 12 hours and hot for around 6, and VQRRCKI states hot for up to 6 hours and cold for up to 12.
All three are double wall vacuum stainless tumblers of the same nominal capacity. Nothing in any listing says what temperature the drink started at, what room it sat in, or what counts as still cold at the end, so the twofold gap between 12 and 24 hours cannot be resolved. Treat the hours as marketing and the construction as the real claim.
Five cups with no insulation at all
KISEER is the honest outlier: five 16 oz stainless pint cups, single walled, with no insulation claim of any kind. It states each cup is 4.9 inches high with a 2.4 inch base and a 3.5 inch top, holds 500 ml, and that the cups stack together to save space.
For a family lunch routine those two things are the argument. Five vessels means everyone gets one at once, and stacking means they store in the space of about one. What you give up is temperature: these are cups for a table rather than tumblers for a bag, and the listing never pretends otherwise.
The Lid Is the Lunchbox Problem
One maker says its lid is not leakproof
YETI states it in its own bullet: the MagSlider Lid adds a barrier of protection for keeping drinks contained, and then, please note, it is not leakproof. That is the only listing in this pool that admits the limitation, and it is the one that matters most if a tumbler is going into a bag on its side.
Every other insulated pick claims the opposite. SUNWILL states a spill proof sliding lid with silicone gasket seals. FristChoice states two leak proof lids. WATERSY states a well sealed lid that effectively prevents leakage. None of them defines leak proof, and none says whether the claim holds when the tumbler is inverted.
Two lids, straws and brushes
FristChoice is the most complete package for a routine. Its 30 oz tumbler ships with two leak proof lids, one sliding and one flip, both straw friendly, plus two stainless steel straws and a straw brush. For a family that means a lid for a hot drink and a lid for a cold one on the same vessel.
WATERSY ships a lid and a straw with its 40 oz. SUNWILL and YETI ship a single lid each. KISEER ships no lid at all. If you intend to wash straws every day, the brush in the FristChoice box is the item you would otherwise buy separately and then lose.
Capacity, Size and Figures to Distrust
From 16 oz to 40 oz
The spread here is deliberate. KISEER gives five 16 oz cups, which suits a table where everyone has a glass. SUNWILL and YETI give 20 oz, which is one adult drink and fits a car cup holder. FristChoice gives 30 oz and WATERSY 40 oz with a handle.
Height is the constraint that follows. YETI publishes 7.0 inches and states 6 and 7 eighths in its own bullet. SUNWILL publishes 6.75 inches. FristChoice publishes 7.6 inches. WATERSY publishes 10.0 inches and states 10.8 inches in a bullet, which is taller than most lunch bags are deep.
Two published figures that cannot be right
YETI publishes 0.4 pounds for a 20 oz double wall stainless tumbler. The comparable 20 oz tumblers in this pool publish 0.72, 0.79 and 0.84 pounds, and a vacuum insulated vessel has two walls of steel and a sealed gap between them. Nothing on this page is built on the 0.4 pound figure.
WATERSY publishes fields of 4.0 by 4.0 by 10.0 inches and states 10.8 inches high by 3.9 by 3.9 in a bullet. Those are close but not the same object, and the bullet is the maker’s own sentence so it is the one quoted here. KISEER publishes a package figure of 3.5 by 0.04 by 4.9 inches, where the 0.04 is plainly not a measurement.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
Everyone gets a cup. KISEER ships five 16 oz stainless cups stated at 4.9 inches high with a 2.4 inch base and a 3.5 inch top, each holding 500 ml, stackable for storage. It publishes 1.01 pounds and has no lid and no insulation.
You want to know the limits. YETI states double wall vacuum insulation, dishwasher safety, a no sweat design, a Duracoat finish and, plainly, that the MagSlider lid is not leakproof. It states 6 and 7 eighths inches high with a 3 and a half inch lip.
The longest stated cold retention. SUNWILL states hot for over 6 hours and cold for around 24 hours in 18/8 304 steel, with a sliding lid, silicone gasket seals and a powder coated finish. It publishes 3.37 by 3.37 by 6.75 inches and 0.72 pounds.
Two lids in one box. FristChoice ships a 30 oz tumbler with a sliding lid and a flip lid, both stated leak proof and straw friendly, two stainless straws and a straw brush, with cold retention stated up to 24 hours. It publishes 1.15 pounds.
A day’s water in one vessel. WATERSY states 40 oz with a handle, a sealed lid with a drinking hole, and 304 stainless. It publishes 1.41 pounds, the heaviest of the five, and states 10.8 inches of height, so check the bag before buying.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures a lunch routine would want, and that these listings do not give.
- How any insulation claim was tested, since none names a starting or ambient temperature.
- A cold retention figure for the YETI and WATERSY tumblers.
- Wall thickness for any of the five, which drives both insulation and dent resistance.
- What leak proof means on the three picks that claim it, and whether it holds inverted.
- Whether the KISEER, SUNWILL, FristChoice or WATERSY vessels may go in a dishwasher.
- Why the YETI published weight of 0.4 pounds is half that of comparable 20 oz tumblers.
