Best Glass Water Bottles for Shallow Kitchen Cabinets

The deciding specification is the published footprint and height each bottle needs, because capacity here grows sideways rather than upward.

Our verdict

The three 32 oz bottles publish three different bodies: LOOFORE at 3.07 by 3.07 by 10.35 inches, ameiin at 2.96 by 2.96 by 11 and sunkey at 3.15 by 3.15 by 11.02. SIEROZUR holds 64 oz inside 10.6 inches by taking 7 by 7 of shelf. All About Juicing publishes 6.4 by 6.4 by 8.7 and calls itself skinny, which its own fields contradict.

“One listing calls itself skinny and publishes a square footprint.”

Lush Editorial Team

What separates these five

Height as published 8.7, 10.35, 10.6, 11 and 11.02 inches. The 64 oz bottle is lower than two of the 32 oz bottles.
Where the volume goes SIEROZUR takes 7 by 7 inches of shelf for its 64 oz. The three 32 oz bottles take about 3 inches.
Capacity, stated twice LOOFORE says 32 oz and 33.8 Ounces. sunkey says 32 oz and 1 liter. Neither listing reconciles the two.
Weight published 0.51 lb, 1.06 lb, 1.54 lb and 1.9 lb, and one listing publishes no weight at all.
Sleeve and strap Four publish a sleeve, one publishes that it detaches, and one sells the sleeve separately.

How we chose

Priorities, not a computed score. The inputs are published specifications, so we rank by what matters most and say how much.

  1. 30% What the bottle asks of the shelfIn a shallow cabinet the footprint matters before the height. These five publish first figures of 2.96, 3.07, 3.15, 6.4 and 7 inches, and the widest two are the 16 oz bottle and the 64 oz bottle, which is not the order anybody would guess.
  2. 25% Whether the published figures agree with the wordsOne listing calls itself tall and skinny and publishes a 6.4 inch square. Another says 32 oz in its name and 33.8 Ounces as its size. A third says 32 oz and 1 liter. A figure that argues with its own listing cannot be measured against a cabinet.
  3. 20% Whether a height figure exists at allEvery height here comes from a dimension field, because not one of the five writes its size into a sentence. That is the single biggest gap in this pool, and it is why this page quotes fields as fields rather than treating them as the maker's claim.
  4. 15% What has to come off before it is storedFour publish a sleeve and only LOOFORE states that its neoprene cover detaches. A bottle that stores dressed needs more shelf than its glass does, and three listings leave that question open.
  5. 10% Whether the published weight is believableThree bottles state the same 32 oz and publish 0.51 lb, 1.06 lb and 1.54 lb. The lowest of those is under half the highest for the same stated volume of glass, so weight is reported here and used to rank nothing.

How the Five Compare on the Numbers

A shallow cabinet sets two limits: how far back the shelf goes and how much room there is above it. Glass bottles are published as three fields and a capacity, and on this pool the capacity turns out not to predict either figure. These five publish heights of 8.7, 10.35, 10.6, 11.0 and 11.02 inches while their stated capacities run from 16 oz to 64 oz.

The three 32 oz bottles are the useful test. LOOFORE publishes 3.07 by 3.07 by 10.35 inches, ameiin 2.96 by 2.96 by 11.0 and sunkey 3.15 by 3.15 by 11.02. Same stated volume, three different bodies, and published weights of 0.51 lb, 1.54 lb and 1.06 lb that do not line up with any of it.

What the table cannot tell you is which of the three fields is the one standing upright. Not one of these five writes its size out in a sentence, so every figure here comes from a field, and on four of the five the first two figures are identical, which is what a round bottle looks like when it is published honestly. The fifth, All About Juicing, publishes 6.4 by 6.4 and calls itself skinny.

Capacity Goes Sideways, Not Upward

Three Bottles, One Capacity, Three Bodies

LOOFORE, ameiin and sunkey all say 32 oz, and their published bodies are not the same object. LOOFORE gives 3.07 by 3.07 by 10.35 inches, ameiin 2.96 by 2.96 by 11 inches, sunkey 3.15 by 3.15 by 11.02 inches. Those first figures, 2.96, 3.07 and 3.15 inches, sit close together, while the heights of 10.35, 11 and 11.02 inches do not.

For a shelf with limited headroom that difference decides the purchase, and none of the three makers helps. Not one writes a height into a bullet, so a buyer is trusting the field. What the three do publish instead is material: all three name borosilicate glass, and two of them, LOOFORE and sunkey, put a temperature range on it while ameiin publishes none.

Sixty Four Ounces Inside 10.6 Inches

SIEROZUR holds twice what any of the 32 oz bottles do and its published height, 10.6 inches, sits between LOOFORE’s 10.35 and ameiin’s 11. It gets the volume from its footprint: 7 by 7 inches in its fields against 3.07, 2.96 and 3.15. In a cabinet where the shelf is short from front to back, that is the figure that decides whether the door closes.

Part of that 7 inches is not bottle. SIEROZUR publishes a soft touch handle on the side and an integrated grip at the top, and the fields do not separate the handle from the glass. It is also the only one of these five to publish time and capacity markings on the body, and the only one with a two in one lid that works as a straw or a spout.

Where the Words Fight the Fields

Tall and Skinny, at 6.4 Inches Square

All About Juicing publishes the flattest claim on the page and the broadest footprint. Its bullet says the tall and skinny design of these juicing bottles fits into your car cup holder or your refrigerator, and its dimension fields read 6.4 by 6.4 by 8.7 inches. A 6.4 inch square does not go in a cup holder, and 8.7 inches is the lowest published height of these five.

This is a 16 oz bottle, so the sensible reading is that the fields describe a carton rather than the bottle, but nothing in the listing says so and there is no multi-pack in the title to justify it. This page therefore quotes the figures as published and says plainly that they contradict the maker’s own sentence. Nothing else in the listing gives a height at all.

Thirty Two Ounces, or 33.8

LOOFORE’s product name says 32 oz and its size attribute says 33.8 Ounces, which is the same listing disagreeing with itself about the volume of the glass. sunkey does something similar in the other direction: its name says 32 oz and its bullet calls it 1 liter large capacity with a wide mouth. Neither listing reconciles the two numbers, and this page has not converted between them.

The unit problem reaches the temperature claims too. LOOFORE states that its borosilicate glass can withstand temperature -20 to 150 degree and sunkey states -20 to 120 degree, and neither names a scale. Those are the only two temperature figures in this set of five, and as published neither can be read as Fahrenheit or Celsius with any confidence.

Sleeves, Straps and a Weight Worth Doubting

What Comes Off Before It Goes Away

Four of the five publish a sleeve and they treat it differently. LOOFORE’s neoprene sleeve is stated as detachable, with a built in hand strap, and the listing says hand wash is recommended for the protective cover. ameiin publishes a sleeve with an adjustable strap. sunkey publishes neoprene that protects against bumps and scratches. SIEROZUR publishes a silicone sleeve alongside its handle.

All About Juicing is the exception and says so: silicone sleeves are available separately, and it publishes what they would do, cushion, shock absorption, grip and insulation. For a cabinet that matters, because a detachable sleeve is the difference between a bottle that stores at its glass size and one that stores at its dressed size, and only LOOFORE states that the cover comes off.

A Weight Figure Worth Doubting

Three bottles state 32 oz and publish 0.51 lb, 1.54 lb and 1.06 lb. The LOOFORE figure is under half of either of the others for the same stated volume of borosilicate glass, plus a neoprene sleeve and a stainless steel cap, so this page does not rank anything on it and does not call it the lightest of anything. SIEROZUR publishes 1.9 lb, which is the only figure here that rises with capacity.

All About Juicing publishes no weight at all, which leaves it with a contradicted footprint, no weight and no size in words: three of the four things a shallow cabinet needs to know. It is on this page because its lid, glass and cleaning wording are unusually specific, not because its measurements can be trusted.

Which One Fits Your Kitchen

A short shelf and a small bottle. All About Juicing, a 16 oz wide mouth bottle in borosilicate glass with an airtight stainless steel lid, published at 6.4 by 6.4 by 8.7 inches, top rack dishwasher safe, with silicone sleeves offered separately and no weight published.

A cover that comes off for storage. LOOFORE, published at 3.07 by 3.07 by 10.35 inches and 0.51 lb, with a detachable neoprene sleeve, a built in hand strap, a stainless steel cap with a removable silicone pad, and a stated range of -20 to 150 degrees on its borosilicate glass.

Carrying it by the strap. ameiin, published at 2.96 by 2.96 by 11 inches and 1.54 lb, a plain 32 oz borosilicate bottle with no logo or pattern, a wide mouth for fruit and tea leaves, a sleeve with an adjustable strap, and dishwasher safe wording that covers the glass part.

Ice and infusions in a wide mouth. sunkey, published at 3.15 by 3.15 by 11.02 inches and 1.06 lb, described as 1 liter with a wide mouth for ice and fruit, high borosilicate glass rated -20 to 120 degrees, and a cap with a removable silicone lining.

A full half gallon on the shelf. SIEROZUR, published at 7 by 7 by 10.6 inches and 1.9 lb, a 64 oz bottle with a side handle and a top grip, time and capacity markings, a one touch pop up lid that serves as a straw or a spout, and a silicone sleeve.

What We Could Not Verify

Every figure above is quoted from the listing that published it. These are the things a shallow cabinet raises that none of these five answers.

  • Not one of the five states its size in its own words, so every dimension here comes from a field.
  • All About Juicing publishes 6.4 by 6.4 inches and calls the bottle tall and skinny in the same listing.
  • LOOFORE says 32 oz in its name and 33.8 Ounces as its size attribute, and reconciles neither.
  • LOOFORE publishes 0.51 lb where two rivals of the same stated capacity publish 1.06 lb and 1.54 lb.
  • The two temperature ranges, -20 to 150 and -20 to 120 degrees, name no scale.
  • SIEROZUR’s 7 inch figure includes a side handle, and the listing does not say how much of it is glass.

Frequently asked questions

Which of these needs the least shelf depth?+

By the published fields, the three 32 oz bottles: ameiin at 2.96 inches, LOOFORE at 3.07 and sunkey at 3.15. The two extremes are the surprise. The 16 oz All About Juicing publishes 6.4 by 6.4 inches, and the 64 oz SIEROZUR publishes 7 by 7. Capacity does not predict footprint anywhere in this set, and no listing states a diameter as such.

Does a bigger bottle mean a higher shelf?+

Not here. SIEROZUR holds 64 oz and publishes 10.6 inches, which is lower than ameiin at 11 inches and sunkey at 11.02 inches, both of which state 32 oz. SIEROZUR gets the volume from a 7 by 7 inch footprint instead. All About Juicing publishes the lowest height of the five at 8.7 inches and the smallest stated capacity at 16 oz.

Why is the LOOFORE weight not used to rank anything?+

Because three listings state the same 32 oz capacity and publish 0.51 lb, 1.06 lb and 1.54 lb. The first is under half the last for the same volume of borosilicate glass, plus a neoprene sleeve and a steel cap. Nothing in the listing explains the difference, so this page prints the figure as published and builds no comparison on it.

What do the temperature figures mean?+

Less than they should. LOOFORE states that its glass can withstand temperature -20 to 150 degree and sunkey states -20 to 120 degree, and neither names Fahrenheit or Celsius. They are the only two temperature figures among these five, and both are attached to a borosilicate claim, so the material is the more useful statement of the two.

Which bottles keep their sleeve on in the cabinet?+

Only LOOFORE says the cover comes off: its neoprene sleeve is stated as detachable, with a built in hand strap, and hand wash is recommended for it. ameiin, sunkey and SIEROZUR all publish a sleeve without saying whether it detaches. All About Juicing publishes no sleeve in the box and offers silicone sleeves separately.

Is the tall and skinny claim wrong?+

It does not match the figures in the same listing. All About Juicing writes that the tall and skinny design fits a car cup holder or a refrigerator, and its published fields are 6.4 by 6.4 by 8.7 inches. A 16 oz bottle almost certainly is slim, and the likeliest explanation is that the fields describe packaging, but the listing never says so, so both statements stand as published.
