One basket or two
This is the decision. Everything else on this page is a detail hanging off it.
A single cavity takes a full tray of food in one layer. Two zones cannot, because neither side is bigger than half the total. What two zones do instead is run at two different temperatures and finish at the same moment.
So the question is not which is better. It is what a normal evening looks like in your kitchen. One thing in bulk, and a single 6-quart basket wins. A protein and a vegetable that want different heat, and the two-zone models turn two rounds into one.
The ceiling is 450°F or 400°F, with nothing in between
Both Ninja DualZone models and the Cosori Pro LE reach 450°F. Both Instant Vortex models stop at 400°F. There is no middle option in this group.
That fifty degrees is headroom, and headroom is worth having at the top of a range you will occasionally use. It is a capability difference, not a promise about any particular dish.
The floor matters less often. The Ninjas state 105°F and the Vortex Plus 95°F, both low enough to dehydrate. Cosori publishes no minimum at all, so on the Pro LE that capability is simply unknown.
Quarts are not quarts
The DZ201 is sold as an 8-quart air fryer. There is no 8-quart space inside it. There are two 4-quart baskets, and nothing larger than four quarts fits in either. The DZ302 does the same thing with fives.
Read the split, not the headline. Six quarts in one cavity, as on the Vortex Plus, holds a bigger single item than eight quarts cut in half.
Every figure here is also measured with the basket empty, so usable space is less than the number on the box for all five.
Program counts are mostly marketing
Cosori sells the Pro LE as 9-in-1. Its own feature text lists seven preset cooking functions, plus preheat and keep warm. The last two do not cook anything.
Ninja counts six and names all six: Air Fry, Air Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate. Instant counts six on the Vortex Plus and four on the Mini.
Treat the number as a tiebreaker. Most owners use air fry, roast and reheat, and those are on every model here.
Footprint is the number nobody checks until it is too late
These are not small appliances. The DZ302 is 17.1 inches wide and 18.74 lb. The DZ201 is 15.63 inches and 17.86 lb. Neither goes back in a cupboard between uses, so both need permanent worktop.
The 10.0 lb Cosori Pro LE and the 7.28 lb Vortex Mini are the only two here you would realistically lift onto a shelf.
