How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Headroom turns out not to be the question. Three of these five publish a height of an inch or less: OFFSCH at 0.98 inches, OFXDD at 1 and Fox Run at 1. MUMSUNG publishes 3.8 inches because it supplies three nesting molds rather than one. Makidar publishes no dimensions at all, only a 3.35 inch diameter and a weight.
What a cabinet shelf actually refuses is the long side, and there the spread is real. OFFSCH publishes 7.28 by 11.22 inches, OFXDD 9.44 by 9.44, Fox Run 10.5 by 4 and MUMSUNG 6.1 by 5.6. A shelf 12 inches deep takes all four flat; a shelf behind a narrow door may not take the 11.22 inch tray at all.
What the table cannot tell you is how any of these sits with the rest of a baking cabinet, because none of the five publishes a hanging hole, a storage case or a stacking claim. A sixth listing in this pool, the Silique Kitchen three piece set, was left out because it publishes no dimension of any kind: on a page about fitting a shelf, a listing with no figures has nothing to compare.
Height Is Not the Problem Here
Four Presses Under Four Inches
OFFSCH publishes 0.98 inches, OFXDD 1 inch and Fox Run 1 inch, which means three of these five slide under a shelf that would not take a mug. They are flat tools: OFFSCH describes integral dumpling stuffing cutters and skin cutters in PP, OFXDD a plastic pierogi mold that makes several at once, and Fox Run an aluminum form that presses six pieces at a time.
Makidar is a single stainless press and publishes no height at all. What it publishes instead is a 3.35 inch diameter, or 85 mm, and 0.22 pounds, which is a quarter of what the flat trays weigh. A one-piece 18/10 stainless press with handles is the one item here you could hang from a rail if the listing mentioned a hole, which it does not.
The One That Has to Nest
MUMSUNG publishes 3.8 inches and it is the only figure on this page that asks for headroom. The reason is in the listing: it supplies three sizes of dumpling mold at 4, 3 and 2.6 inches, three dough press cutters and one stuffing spoon. Three presses stacked inside each other is what makes the height, and the published 6.1 by 5.6 inch footprint is the smallest here.
That is the trade a cabinet page has to state plainly. MUMSUNG occupies less shelf area than any other pick and nearly four times the height of three of them, and it is the only listing that supplies loose metal parts, three cutters and a spoon in 304 stainless steel, which have to go somewhere too.
The Footprint Is What a Shelf Refuses
From 6.1 Inches to 11.22
OFFSCH publishes 7.28 by 11.22 inches and restates it as 28.5 by 18.5 cm, which is a tray rather than a press. OFXDD publishes a square 9.44 by 9.44 inches. Fox Run publishes 10.5 by 4 inches, which is a long narrow form that will lie in a shelf edge-on where a square mold will not.
Those three are all wider in one direction than a standard 12 inch shelf is deep once a door frame is taken into account, so the orientation matters. Fox Run’s 4 inch width is the figure that lets it sit at the front of a shelf beside something else. MUMSUNG at 6.1 by 5.6 inches is the only pick that fits anywhere without planning.
Two Listings That Restate Their Size
Fox Run is the most reliable listing on this page. Its fields read 10.5 by 4 by 1 inches, its title repeats 4 by 10.5 by 1, and a measurements bullet gives the same figures again along with a weight of 9.6 ounces, which matches the 0.6 pound field. Nothing else here agrees with itself in three places.
OFFSCH restates its size once, in centimeters: 28.5 by 18.5 cm against published fields of 7.28 by 11.22 inches. Those are the same tray described in two unit systems and they agree. OFXDD publishes fields and no sentence, Makidar publishes a diameter and no fields, and MUMSUNG publishes three press diameters and one assembled footprint.
What You Store With It and How It Is Cleaned
Loose Cutters and a Spoon
MUMSUNG is the only listing here with parts that are not presses: three dough press cutters and a stuffing spoon, both stated to be food grade 304 stainless steel. On a cabinet page that is four more objects to lose, and the listing publishes no case, no bag and no dimension for any of them.
OFFSCH names dumpling stuffing cutters and dumpling skin cutters in its bullets without ever saying how many arrive, which is the vaguest set claim in this pool. OFXDD supplies two pierogi molds, Fox Run one aluminum form and Makidar one stainless press. Three of the five are a single object on a shelf, which is the tidiest answer a cabinet gets.
Materials, and What Each One Survives
Makidar is the only listing here that states a dishwasher, on food grade 18/10 stainless steel formed in one piece so the handles cannot break or detach. OFFSCH states PP with a smooth surface free of burrs that is easy to clean and wash. OFXDD states sturdy plastic with a smooth non-stick surface for hassle-free washing.
Fox Run states long-lasting aluminum and publishes no washing instruction at all, which on aluminum is the omission that matters, since aluminum and dishwasher detergent are a known problem. MUMSUNG states thickened drop-resistant food grade plastic with 304 stainless cutters and spoons that will not rust, and says only that the set is easy to clean.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
A shallow shelf and a deep cabinet. OFFSCH publishes 7.28 by 11.22 by 0.98 inches and restates it as 28.5 by 18.5 cm, at 0.6 pounds in PP. It is a flat tray of cutters and molds, and its listing never says how many pieces arrive.
A square gap on a shelf. OFXDD publishes 9.44 by 9.44 by 1 inches and 0.72 pounds for two plastic pierogi molds, with a smooth non-stick surface for washing. It states it makes multiple pierogis at once without giving a number.
A shelf you share with other things. Fox Run publishes 10.5 by 4 by 1 inches three separate times and 9.6 ounces, in aluminum, making six pieces at a time. The 4 inch width lets it sit alongside something else, and it publishes no washing instruction.
Three sizes in the smallest footprint. MUMSUNG publishes 6.1 by 5.6 by 3.8 inches for three molds at 4, 3 and 2.6 inches plus three cutters and a stuffing spoon in 304 stainless. It asks for headroom rather than area, and publishes no weight.
One tool and a dishwasher. Makidar publishes 0.22 pounds and a 3.35 inch diameter, or 85 mm, in one-piece food grade 18/10 stainless steel with riveted handles, stated dishwasher safe. It publishes no height, width or depth at all.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures the five listings do not publish, and nothing above has been supplied in their place.
- Makidar publishes no height, width or depth, only a diameter and a weight.
- MUMSUNG publishes no weight for a set of three molds, three cutters and a spoon.
- OFFSCH never states how many cutters or molds are in its tray.
- Fox Run publishes no washing instruction at all, on an aluminum form.
- No listing publishes a hanging hole, a storage case or a stacking claim.
- No listing states the dough thickness the press is designed to seal.
