How the Five Compare on the Numbers

Every figure on this page comes from the makers’ own wording rather than the published dimension fields. Seven of the eight listings in this category are multipacks, and a multipack publishes the carton it ships in, not the basket you use. So where a listing writes its size into a feature line or a title, that is the figure used here, and it is labeled as the maker’s own.

Three products were left out for good reasons. One 6 pack of plastic trays publishes a total weight of 0.46 lb for six baskets, which is not a weight you can build anything on. A 2 pack of fabric bins publishes the same 15 by 6 by 5 inches, the same metal frame and the same board bottom as the Kntiwiwo bin, so it is the same basket under another name. A 12 pack of drain trays duplicates the Meyeyaia set at a hair over 10 inches long.

What the table cannot tell you is what any of these baskets will hold before it flexes. Two listings use the phrase load bearing or weight capacity without ever putting a figure to it, and none of the five states a limit in pounds. It also cannot tell you the wall thickness of the plastic sets, which is the difference between a tray that holds its shape full of jars and one that bows.

What the four plastic sets actually are

Coloch, Soddeph, Meyeyaia and Anbers are all rigid plastic, and all four arrive as sets. Three of the four name their plastic as PP or as thickened, and all four describe the surface as something you wipe rather than wash.

The differences are in the walls. Soddeph and Anbers are both open sided, Soddeph calling it an open grid and Anbers calling it hollow fences over a solid bottom, so crumbs and water fall through the sides but not out the base. Coloch gives its walls vents. Meyeyaia says nothing about ventilation at all, which suits stationery and seasoning packets more than anything damp.

Where the fabric bin earns its place

Kntiwiwo is the only soft sided basket here and the only one of the five that is a single bin rather than a set. It is extra thick linen outside with a polyester lining, held up by a metal frame at the rim and a thick base plate underneath, and it ships folded flat. That structure is the reason it can be tall and still stay upright when half empty.

It is also the only one you cannot put through water. Its own listing says plainly that it is not machine washable and asks for a damp cloth, which is the honest trade for a fabric bin: it looks better on an open shelf and it collapses for storage, but a spilled bottle of oil inside it is a much worse afternoon than the same spill in a plastic tray.

Wheels, handles, and neither

Coloch is the only one of the five on wheels, four of them, described as silent, with built in handles as well. That combination is aimed at a deep under sink cabinet where the back of the shelf is past arm’s length, and it is the only design here that solves reaching rather than sorting. The wheels are also why its published height is the largest of the five.

Handles are the next best thing and three of the others have them. Soddeph builds them into the basket, Anbers gives each tray a single handle stated to be easy to pull, and Kntiwiwo puts reinforced handles on both sides so a full fabric bin lifts square. Meyeyaia publishes nothing about a handle, which on a tray you pull from the back of a cabinet is a real omission.

Height, taper, and what will fit

The published heights split this group into two uses. Coloch states 7.5 inches, which is a spray bottle or a roll of cling film standing up. Kntiwiwo states 5 inches and Soddeph 4.9, which is jars and packets. Anbers states 3.4 inches and Meyeyaia 2.28, which are drawer trays for flat things rather than cabinet bins for tall ones.

Meyeyaia is the only one that explains its shape. It publishes a taper, wider at the top than at the bottom, which is how twelve trays nest into a small box and also why the usable floor of each one is less than its stated 10.23 by 2.36 inches suggests. None of the other four says whether its walls are straight or drafted, so plan on the outside figure and not the inside.

Sets, Counts and Published Weights

One basket, four, or twelve

The counts here are not a detail, they are the product. Twelve Meyeyaia trays divide one wide drawer into a dozen lanes. Four Coloch bins fill a standard cabinet under a sink. Four Soddeph or four Anbers baskets cover a shelf run. One Kntiwiwo bin is a single object you put where you can see it, which is a different purchase entirely.

Buy the count you actually have space for. A 12 pack of trays 2.36 inches across only makes sense if you have a wide drawer to cut up, and four bins 5.4 inches across only make sense if the cabinet is at least that deep front to back. Nothing in these listings tells you whether they will tile neatly, so measure the opening first.

Why the published weights do not compare

Kntiwiwo is the heaviest of the five at 2.14 pounds, and that figure is for one fabric bin with a metal frame and a board base, so it is the only weight here that describes a single basket. The other three that publish anything are publishing a whole set: 1.12 lb across four Soddeph baskets, 1.05 lb across twelve Meyeyaia trays, 1.0 lb across four from Anbers.

Coloch publishes no weight at all, which is the one figure you would want for the set that carries wheels and a load. Do not read the set weights as a guide to sturdiness either, because a thin large tray and a thick small one can land on the same number. Wall thickness is the figure that would settle it, and not one of the five publishes it.

• Whether any of the plastic trays is dishwasher safe, as opposed to wipe clean.
• Whether the wheels on the Coloch bins are fixed or swivel, and whether they are removable.
• Any stated color for the Kntiwiwo linen bin, which the listing describes only as linen.
