How the Five Compare on the Numbers
The tools this pool is built around are long. Its best known griddle spatulas publish 18 inches, 17.5 inches and 16.4 inches of overall length, which is more than a shallow cabinet shelf will take lying flat. These five are the listings that publish a figure under 12.5 inches, and that single number is the specification this page ranks them on.
Where that figure lives differs on every one of them. Morikuru writes out all three of its dimensions in a bullet. HaSteeL states 12 in by 2 in in words and in its size attribute. KLAQQED puts 2.9 by 11.6 inches in its size attribute and nowhere else. Kodrily states one figure, 2.95 inches, and leaves 8.66 to a field. Homi styles describes its parts and never gives an overall length.
What the table does not tell you is how any of these lie on a shelf, because only Morikuru publishes a thickness in inches. Two of the five publish no third figure at all, so their profile is unknown, and one of the two, KLAQQED, publishes only a pair of numbers in a size attribute with no bullet to confirm them. None of the five states a stowed length or a storage position.
Where Each Maker Puts the Length
One Listing Publishes Everything
Morikuru is the only listing among these five, and one of very few in the pool, that writes out a full size in a sentence: approximately 11.2 by 4.72 by 0.19 in, followed by 285 by 120 by 5 mm, and a weight of 2.18 oz or 62 g. Its dimension fields carry 4.72 and 11.22, which is the same object read to one more decimal place.
That makes it the one product here whose shelf fit can be worked out without trusting a field: a bamboo flipper a fifth of an inch thick, published twice in two unit systems. It is also the lightest thing in the group by its own stated figure, and the listing gives the weight in ounces and grams rather than leaving it to the pound field of 0.14 lb.
A Size Attribute Is Not a Bullet
KLAQQED publishes 2.9×11.6inches and 7.3×29.5cm as its size attribute and says nothing about measurement anywhere in its five bullets. The figures are specific and the cm pair is internally consistent with the inch pair, which is more than several listings in this pool manage, but they sit in the one field a buyer is least likely to read and there is no thickness among them.
Kodrily goes further the other way. Its only stated figure is 2.95 inches, which its dimension fields repeat as the first of two, and the 8.66 that follows appears in no sentence. The listing spends its bullets on the wood, the ergonomic handle and not scratching coated pans, and leaves the one figure a shallow cabinet needs entirely to a field.
Parts Published Instead of a Whole
A Blade and a Handle That Do Not Add Up
Homi styles publishes its spatula in pieces: a 2.5 by 2.5 inch blade in 420 stainless steel with beveled edges, and a 4.5 inch handle in merbau wood. Its dimension fields read 2.5 by 8.5 by 1 in. Those two stated parts together fall short of the 8.5 inch field, so something in between, a neck or a tang, is unaccounted for in the maker’s own description.
It is still the most specific small spatula here, and the only listing of the five to name a steel grade. For a shallow cabinet the useful reading is that its blade is square at 2.5 inches and its handle is short, which is the profile of a tool that goes in a drawer rather than across a shelf, whichever figure turns out to be the real length.
Two Spatulas and Two Hooks
HaSteeL is the only one of these five that publishes a way to store itself: the set contains two 12 in by 2 in spatulas and two S shape hooks, described as a bonus. It also publishes a 4.5 in handle, the same handle figure Homi styles gives, and a blade up to 1.5 mm thick, which is the only steel thickness stated anywhere in this group.
The trade is that one purchase is two tools. Its 0.6 lb field is the highest of the five and covers the pair, so it is not comparable with the single spatula weights beside it. In a cabinet with one shallow shelf, two hooks on the inside of a door is a better answer than any length figure, and HaSteeL is the only listing here that offers one.
What Was Left Off This Page
The Long Tools and the Kits
The three best documented griddle spatulas in this pool are the wrong shape for the question. Blackstone publishes 4.5 by 4 by 18 inches in a bullet and again in its fields. Pit Boss publishes 17.5 inches of height by 3.36 inches of width. Weber publishes 16.4 in H by 4.0 in W by 4.3 in D in a bullet, while its fields read 4.73 by 17.33 by 13 inches, which is a third figure nothing in the listing supports.
The large accessory kits are further out still. Grilliance publishes 27 pieces in a package of 12.01 by 14.76 by 3.54 inches at 6.28 lb, and ROMANTICIST publishes 29 pieces at 5.62 lb in 11.81 by 13.78 by 3.94 inches, both with a carrying bag. Those are storage cases, not shelf occupants, and a cabinet page that recommended one would be recommending the bag.
A Griddle Is Not a Spatula
This pool also holds cooking appliances, and one of them is very well documented: a portable electric griddle published at 9.2 by 13.1 by 2.2 inches and 6.38 lb, with a stated 300 to 600 W draw, 100 to 465 degrees Fahrenheit in 5 degree steps, and a hard shell case. It is a good listing and it is not a spatula, so it is not on this page and nothing here is ranked against it.
Two multi piece stainless sets were also set aside for a different reason. Anmarko publishes a 0.11 lb weight for three heavy duty commercial spatulas and a 14.96 inch package, and Vovoly publishes 1.85 lb with a 5 by 6 inch turner and a warning that its weight and its published outline cannot both describe one product. Neither figure is one to build a shelf decision on.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
A drawer rather than a shelf. Homi styles, with a 2.5 by 2.5 inch blade in 420 stainless steel, a 4.5 inch merbau wood handle, published fields of 2.5 by 8.5 by 1 in and 0.2 lb, and beveled edges the listing says slide under eggs and brownies.
The lightest thing on the shelf. Kodrily, a wide flat wooden turner published at 0.11 lb with a stated 2.95 inches and a field of 8.66, described as gentle on coated pans and easy to wash, with no thickness and no overall length in the maker’s own words.
Knowing exactly what you are buying. Morikuru, a bamboo okonomiyaki spatula published at approximately 11.2 by 4.72 by 0.19 in and 285 by 120 by 5 mm, weighing 2.18 oz or 62 g, handcrafted in Japan and stated safe for nonstick hot plates.
A long reach in a short tool. KLAQQED, published as 2.9×11.6inches and 7.3×29.5cm in its size attribute, with a wide polished support surface, beveled edges on three sides, a wooden handle that insulates heat and a 0.3 lb weight field.
Hanging two tools inside a door. HaSteeL, two 12 in by 2 in stainless steel spatulas with 4.5 in beech wood handles, blades up to 1.5 mm thick, triple rivets, two S shape hooks in the box and 0.6 lb published for the pair.
What We Could Not Verify
Every figure above is quoted from the listing that published it. These are the things a shallow cabinet raises that none of these five answers.
- Only Morikuru publishes a thickness in inches, so four of the five have no known profile lying flat.
- Homi styles publishes a blade and a handle figure that together fall short of its own 8.5 inch field.
- KLAQQED publishes its only measurements in a size attribute, with no bullet to confirm them.
- Kodrily publishes 8.66 inches in a field and never states a length in words.
- No listing states a stowed length, a hanging hole or a storage position, apart from the two hooks HaSteeL includes.
- HaSteeL’s 0.6 lb covers two spatulas, so it cannot be compared with the single tool weights beside it.
