How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Nothing in this pool stacks. No listing here describes sitting on top of another basket or carrying one, so a second level is either built into the unit or bought twice. ClosetMaid and PXRACK both publish three tiers. OCG and Simple Houseware publish two. Lnhcomsuch publishes one tier and supplies two of them.
What separates the two three tier units is everything except the tier count. ClosetMaid publishes an installed size of 18.36 by 8.82 by 17.98 in, a 9 inch minimum opening and soft close glides. PXRACK publishes no dimensions at all, and instead publishes the only load figure in this group, up to 60 lbs, and 5 or more height settings.
What the table cannot tell you is the clearance between tiers on any of these. PXRACK publishes a number of settings and no spacing, ClosetMaid and OCG publish an overall height and no spacing, and Simple Houseware publishes a divider that moves sideways rather than up. So what will actually stand on a lower tier is not available anywhere in this group.
Two Levels, Three Ways of Getting Them
Built In as Three Tiers
ClosetMaid publishes three tiers and four compartments, and makes a specific claim about what they are for: tall items like bottles. It publishes the installed size as 18.36 by 8.82 by 17.98 in and asks for only a 9 inch minimum opening, which is the lowest cabinet requirement in this group and makes it the narrow cabinet answer.
PXRACK publishes three tiers too and goes a different route. It states 5 or more height settings, so the spacing is yours rather than the maker’s, and it publishes up to 60 lbs, the only load figure in this pool. What it does not publish is a single dimension, leaving a 12 by 16 by 15.4 in package figure for two sets as the only number.
Built In as Two
OCG publishes two wire baskets and the sentence that matters most on this page: both slide out independently on precision ball bearing slides. On a two level unit that is the difference between opening a drawer and lifting a whole assembly, and the listing adds two height options per basket with a reason, so the lower basket clears a cabinet lip.
Simple Houseware publishes two tiers at 14.4 by 8.3 by 9.8 in and solves access by removal instead: the baskets lift out completely to be refilled or used standalone, and an adjustable divider moves anywhere or comes out. It publishes 1 lb, the lowest weight here, and states plainly that it is best for lightweight items.
Two Separate Drawers Instead
Choosing the Heights Yourself
Lnhcomsuch takes the one route that does not involve a tiered frame at all. It supplies two single tier drawers, each 9.45 by 14.96 by 3.62 in, published again as 24 by 38 by 9.2 cm, and each is stuck to the cabinet wherever you want it. Two levels, at whatever spacing the cabinet and the contents allow.
That flexibility costs two things. Each drawer is a stated 3.62 inches of wall height, so nothing tall stands in either, and the listing states that it fits frameless cabinets only and will not fit cabinets with frames around the doors. That restriction is published in the first bullet, which is the right place for it.
What Each One Asks of the Cabinet
Three of the five publish a requirement and they are a long way apart. ClosetMaid asks for a 9 inch minimum opening. Lnhcomsuch asks for 11 inches of width and 16 inches of depth. OCG asks for 16.5 inches of net opening width and 22 inches of net depth, which rules out most narrow base cabinets and is the price of its 15.5 by 21 in footprint.
PXRACK and Simple Houseware publish nothing. On the PXRACK that is a real gap, because a three tier unit with no published dimensions and no stated opening cannot be checked against a cabinet before it arrives. The Simple Houseware at least publishes its own 14.4 by 8.3 by 9.8 in size, so the opening can be inferred.
Fixing, Load and What Holds It Up
Four Different Commitments
ClosetMaid and OCG both mount with a template and hardware, which means drilling into the cabinet base and the most secure result. Lnhcomsuch uses nano adhesive and states no drilling or screws are needed, naming renters directly. PXRACK uses 4 large suction cups and 2 nano adhesive films per set. Simple Houseware stands on four non slip feet and fixes to nothing.
Those are four different answers to the same question and they are not interchangeable. A drilled unit slides smoothly on its glides. An adhesive unit depends on the surface it is stuck to. A unit on feet is pulled forward rather than slid, which is why Simple Houseware is also the one that says it is for lightweight items.
The One Load Figure
PXRACK publishes up to 60 lbs and backs it with thickened steel and a 1 inch reinforced frame. That is the only number in this group. ClosetMaid describes epoxy coated steel and a premium platinum finish, OCG describes wire baskets on precision ball bearings, and Lnhcomsuch describes heavy duty carbon steel with a powder coated finish. None of the three puts a figure on it.
Read against the published weights that is worth noticing. OCG publishes 12.9 lb, the highest weight here, and no load. PXRACK publishes 10.96 lb for two sets and a 60 lbs load. A heavier unit is not the same as a stronger one, and only one of the five lets a reader tell the difference.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
Tier heights you want to set. PXRACK, three tiers with 5 or more height settings and a stated 60 lbs load, two sets per purchase on suction cups and adhesive film. No dimensions and no opening requirement are published.
Bottles in a narrow base cabinet. ClosetMaid, three tiers and four compartments installing at 18.36 by 8.82 by 17.98 in, needing only a 9 inch opening, with soft close glides. It has to be screwed in.
Opening one level at a time. OCG, two wire baskets that slide independently with two height options each, at 15.5 by 21 by 15.6 in. It needs 16.5 inches of opening and 22 inches of depth.
Carrying a tier to the counter. Simple Houseware, two tiers at 14.4 by 8.3 by 9.8 in with lift out baskets, a movable divider and 1 lb of weight. Best for lightweight items, in its own words.
A rented frameless cabinet. Lnhcomsuch, two single tier drawers at 9.45 by 14.96 by 3.62 in stuck on with nano adhesive and no drilling. Frameless cabinets only, and shallow.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures this comparison went looking for and could not source from the listings themselves.
- Any dimensions for PXRACK beyond a package figure for two sets.
- Tier spacing on all five, so what stands on a lower tier is unknown.
- A cabinet opening requirement for PXRACK and Simple Houseware.
- A load figure for ClosetMaid, OCG and Lnhcomsuch.
- Whether any unit here can be fitted above another, which no listing mentions.
- The adhesive or suction surface area on PXRACK and Lnhcomsuch, both of which fix without screws.
