How the Five Compare on the Numbers
A weekend batch of ravioli is two hours of rolling, filling and cutting, and at the end of it a fluted wheel is packed with dough. That makes the washing instruction the figure worth reading, because a wheel you can drop in a dishwasher and a wheel that must be dried immediately by hand are two different Sunday evenings.
Two of these five state the dishwasher outright. One rules it out by name, asking for a hand wash and immediate drying to keep the wood from swelling. The other two claim the tool is easy to clean and never say how, which on a crimping wheel is a claim rather than an instruction.
What the table cannot tell you is whether a dishwasher cycle reaches into a fluted groove, because nobody publishes anything about that. Küchenprofi and MyHoome both state the machine is allowed without saying it cleans the crimp, and the three that publish no instruction leave the whole question open. A packed groove is the failure mode this category actually has.
The Washing Instructions, Read Word for Word
The Two That Name the Dishwasher
Küchenprofi states that its 18/10 stainless steel tool is dishwasher safe and makes cleanup a breeze, and 18/10 is the grade it names rather than a generic claim. The whole tool is steel, so there is no wood or rubber for a hot cycle to find, and the maker publishes a 7 inch length for it.
MyHoome states 430 stainless steel and says that after creating perfect pasta you simply place it in the dishwasher. Those are the two picks here where a weekend batch ends with the tool in a rack rather than at the sink, and they are also the two that state the wheel seals, crimps and cuts in one motion.
The One That Rules It Out
XINBADA is the only pick here that publishes a restriction, asking for a hand wash with immediate drying so the beech wood handle does not swell, and adding that the blade rinses in seconds and the handle wipes down with a damp cloth. That is a complete routine and it takes longer than a rack.
It is also the only pick that tells you what the tool arrives in: a simple white card box with no blade cover, so it has to be stored carefully in a drawer. For a weekend cook who batches once a fortnight, a wooden handle that must be dried each time is a real cost rather than a detail.
What the Other Two Say Instead
Claims Without Instructions
SHANGSKY says the grooves of the tool do not easily stick to flour dough and are simple to clean. That is the closest thing to an answer among the three that publish no instruction, and it is still a claim about the geometry rather than a method. It also names zinc alloy and oak, which is the one combination here with two materials that react differently to water.
kumet says its stainless steel will not bend or clog, which addresses the groove problem from the other side: three wheels and a set of wing nuts have more places for dough to lodge than a single wheel does. Neither listing says whether the dishwasher is permitted, and on the kumet there are moving parts to consider.
Why Silence Matters More on Some Tools
A plain steel wheel on a steel handle is a safe guess in a dishwasher whatever the listing says. A zinc alloy wheel on an oak handle is not, and SHANGSKY publishes no guidance on either material. kumet’s adjustable arm, locking wing nuts and three wheels are the most mechanical object on this page, and it publishes no washing instruction at all.
So the three silences are not equivalent. The risk rises with the number of materials and the number of moving parts, and both of the picks that publish a permission are single-piece steel tools. That pattern is the useful one to carry into a purchase.
Throughput, and What a Weekend Batch Needs
One Wheel or Three
kumet is the only multi-wheel pick here, publishing three wheels on an adjustable arm with a maximum extension of 9.45 inches, a minimum of 0.78 inches, wheel spacing from 0.4 in to 4.5 in and a wheel diameter of 2.2 inches. For cutting a sheet into even strips in one pass, that is a different tool from a single crimper.
The other four are single wheels. SHANGSKY publishes a 1.6 in roller on a 6.3 inch oak handle, XINBADA a 2 in or 1.5 in crinkle wheel depending on variant, and Küchenprofi and MyHoome publish no wheel diameter at all. For sealing filled pockets, one wheel is the tool; for dividing a sheet, three is faster.
Weight Across a Long Session
The published weights run from 0.09 lb on the SHANGSKY to 0.53 lb on the kumet, roughly a sixfold spread. XINBADA publishes 0.15 lb, Küchenprofi 0.2 lb and MyHoome 0.24 lb. Over two hours of cutting those differences accumulate in the wrist, and the heaviest tool here is the one with three wheels and a locking arm.
None of these five publishes anything about hand fatigue in figures, only in adjectives: Küchenprofi calls its handle ergonomic, MyHoome says the same, XINBADA names three anti-slip ring grooves for floury hands and SHANGSKY calls its oak handle comfortable. kumet publishes no handle description at all.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
Batches and uses the dishwasher. Küchenprofi states 18/10 stainless steel, dishwasher safe, a 7 inch length and that it seals, crimps and cuts in one motion. All steel, so the machine permission covers the whole tool.
Wants the same but cheaper steel. MyHoome states 430 stainless steel and says to place it in the dishwasher after use. It publishes 0.24 lb and no dimensions at all, so the size is an unknown.
Prefers a wooden handle and will dry it. XINBADA publishes a beech wood handle with three anti-slip ring grooves and a 2 in or 1.5 in crinkle wheel, and asks for a hand wash with immediate drying. It arrives with no blade cover.
Lightest tool for a long session. SHANGSKY publishes 0.09 lb with a 6.3 inch oak handle and a 1.6 in roller, and says the grooves do not easily stick to dough. It publishes no washing instruction either way.
Dividing sheets rather than sealing pockets. kumet publishes three 2.2 in wheels on an arm that extends to 9.45 inches with spacing from 0.4 in to 4.5 in, locked by wing nuts. It publishes 0.53 lb and no washing instruction.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures we went looking for on the manufacturer listings and did not find.
- Whether a dishwasher cycle actually clears a fluted groove. No listing here addresses it.
- Any washing instruction for the SHANGSKY, kumet or MyHoome groove itself beyond a general permission or claim.
- A wheel diameter for the Küchenprofi and MyHoome cutters.
- Any dimensions at all for the MyHoome cutter.
- A handle material for the Küchenprofi, MyHoome and kumet tools.
- Whether the kumet wing nuts and arm can be washed with the wheels still attached.
