How the Five Compare on the Numbers
These five listings supply five pieces, five pieces, four, three and one. Only one of them tells you what the pieces are. Tovolo itemises a spatula, a spoonula, a jar scraper, a mini spatula and a mini spoonula. The other three sets give a count and a color list and leave you to assume the pieces differ, which on two of them they may not.
The figures thin out quickly after the count. Headaze publishes a length, 9.5 inches for each of its five, and no weight. Linden Sweden publishes real dimension fields and a weight of 0.08 pounds for one spatula. Tovolo, ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE and GZXTSKY publish a weight and a carton and no length for any individual piece.
What the table cannot tell you is whether a set of five is five tools or one tool five times. Tovolo answers it and Headaze answers it the other way: five identical 9.5 inch spatulas in five colors, which is a set for keeping ingredients apart rather than for doing different jobs. The remaining two sets answer neither question, and that is the most useful thing to know about them.
What the Set Actually Contains
The One Listing That Names Its Pieces
Tovolo is the only listing in this pool of seventeen that itemises a set. It states the five pieces are a spatula, a spoonula, a jar scraper, a mini spatula and a mini spoonula, and a later bullet explains what the two mini tools are for: small mixing bowls, baby food jars, spice containers and detailed work where a full size tool is too large.
That itemisation is the difference between a set and a multipack. Four of these five spatulas are not jar spatulas at all in the strict sense, and only one of them is called a jar scraper. If the job is reaching the bottom of a jam jar, Tovolo supplies one tool for it and four others, which is either good value or four tools you did not want.
Five Copies, Four Copies, Three Copies
Headaze supplies the honest opposite. It states five long silicone jar spatulas measuring 9.5 inches each, in pink, yellow, green, purple and black, with the colors offered for quick identification during cooking. Every piece is the same shape and the same length, so the set exists to stop the peanut butter spatula meeting the sourdough starter.
ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE states four pieces and a multicolor finish and never gives a length for any of them. GZXTSKY states three pieces, names a sourdough scraper in its title and then never mentions it again across five bullets. Linden Sweden supplies one spatula and publishes more about that one than either of those two publishes about a set.
Heat, Core and Handle
Three Heat Figures and Two Silences
ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE publishes 600 F and states the silicone will not melt or warp on a hot pan. Headaze publishes 572 F. Linden Sweden publishes 450 F and attaches it specifically to the stainless steel handle rather than to the silicone head, which is a more careful claim than either of the others makes.
Tovolo and GZXTSKY publish no figure at all. Tovolo states the utensils withstand high temperatures and are safe for hot pans, and GZXTSKY states only that they are heat resistant and safe with hot ingredients. On a tool you leave in a pan while a sauce reduces, an unnumbered heat claim is not a specification.
What Is Inside the Silicone
Three of the five publish a core and they are not the same core. Tovolo states a reinforced nylon core inside each spatula with flexible edges for scraping. ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE states a solid steel core running from handle to head with a seamless outer layer, and names the failure it prevents: the weak point where a handle meets a head.
Headaze states a reinforced steel core in a seamless one piece body with no gaps to trap food. GZXTSKY publishes nothing about what is inside, and Linden Sweden publishes nothing either, though its handle is stainless steel rather than silicone so the question matters less. Two of the five sets are therefore unspecified inside.
Where the Published Figures Break Down
A Carton 0.04 Inches Thick
ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE and GZXTSKY both publish a package figure with a thickness of 0.04 inches, which is thinner than the silicone head of a single spatula. The fact sheet flags both of these listings for a weight that cannot belong to those dimensions, and the reason is the 0.04 inch figure rather than the weight: 0.31 and 0.3 pounds are perfectly ordinary for a set of four or three.
So the weights are used on this page and the two carton figures are not. Tovolo’s carton is the useful one: 2.12 by 2.88 by 14.25 inches, which is a box long enough to hold a full size spatula standing up and is consistent with the five pieces it itemises. Headaze publishes 2.5 by 9 by 0.1 inches, which is close to its stated 9.5 inch length lying flat.
The Only Listing With Real Dimensions
Linden Sweden publishes 1 by 9 by 0.25 inches in its dimension fields and 9 inches in its own words, and those agree. It is the only one of the five where a buyer can check the tool against a jar before it arrives, and it is also the only one that is a single spatula rather than a set, which is not a coincidence: a multipack’s fields describe a box.
At 0.08 pounds it is also the lightest of the four here that publish a weight. Tovolo publishes 0.84 pounds for five pieces with steel handles, the heaviest of these five, and the gap between the two figures is mostly metal rather than silicone. Headaze publishes no weight at all, for five spatulas with steel cores.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
You want five different tools, not five of one. Tovolo itemises a spatula, a spoonula, a jar scraper, a mini spatula and a mini spoonula, on reinforced nylon cores with stainless steel handles, dishwasher safe, at 0.84 pounds. It publishes no length and no heat figure.
You want a color per ingredient. Headaze supplies five identical 9.5 inch spatulas in pink, yellow, green, purple and black, with a reinforced steel core, a seamless one piece body, hanging holes and a stated 572 F rating. It publishes no weight at all.
You mix heavy dough. ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE states a solid steel core running from handle to head with a seamless outer layer, rated to 600 F, on four non-slip handles at 0.31 pounds. It publishes no length for any of the four and a carton figure 0.04 inches thick.
You want three and a hook. GZXTSKY supplies three spatulas with a hanging hole on each and 0.3 pounds published. Its title names a sourdough scraper that its bullets never mention, and it publishes no length, no core, no heat figure and no washing instruction.
You want one spatula you can measure. Linden Sweden publishes 1 by 9 by 0.25 inches and 0.08 pounds, with a stainless steel handle rated to 450 F, silicone that will not absorb odors, and a dishwasher statement. One piece, and the only figures here you can hold against a jar.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the things the five listings do not state, and none has been assumed above.
- Three of the four sets never say whether their pieces differ from each other in shape or length.
- Tovolo and GZXTSKY publish no heat rating, only the words heat resistant.
- GZXTSKY names a sourdough scraper in its title and never mentions it in any bullet.
- Headaze publishes no weight for a set of five spatulas with steel cores.
- ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE and GZXTSKY both publish a carton 0.04 inches thick, which cannot hold a spatula.
- No listing publishes the thickness or flex of the silicone head, which is what decides how clean a jar gets.
