How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Four of these five publish a way to make themselves shorter, and every one of them does it differently. COOK WITH COLOR states the bowl and colander collapse entirely. Dreamfarm states the handle collapses so the basket stores inside a stack of bowls. Ourokhome states the pump handle presses down after use to reduce overall height. Smile mom states the lid folds.
What none of the four publishes is the figure that would make any of those claims usable: a collapsed height. Every height on this page is the assembled one, and the reader who wants to know whether the spinner shuts in a drawer has to take the maker’s adjective for it. SUSTEAS publishes no folding feature at all, and five loose blades to store as well.
The table cannot tell you whether any of these belongs in a drawer rather than a cupboard, because none of the five addresses a drawer at all. The nearest thing is Ourokhome, which states the spinner fits standard kitchen cabinets and shelves, and Dreamfarm, which states the collapsed basket stores in a bowl stack. Both are cupboard claims, and both are the most specific storage statements among the five.
Four Ways to Make It Shorter
Collapsing the Whole Thing, or Just the Handle
COOK WITH COLOR is the only one of the five where the bowl itself gives way. Its listing describes a collapsible bowl and colander that becomes a serving bowl and collapses for convenient storage, and names small kitchens and trailers as the reason. It publishes 4 quarts of capacity and three dimension figures, and never says which of the three is the flat one.
Dreamfarm collapses the part that sticks up. Its handle folds so the basket stores neatly inside a stack of bowls, which is a different and more honest claim: the bowl still takes its own space but it nests. At 0.68 pounds it publishes less than a third of any other weight on this page, and its published height of 4.33 inches is already lower than three of the others assembled.
The One That Folds Nothing
SUSTEAS publishes 9.8 by 9.8 by 8 inches and 2.76 pounds and no folding feature at all. What it publishes instead is five 304 stainless blades, an egg yolk separator and a 4.5 liter cutting basket, which is a good argument for owning it and a poor one for a drawer. A spinner that slices is a spinner with loose sharp parts to store.
It is worth keeping on this page as the counterweight. Every folding claim here costs something: a collapsible bowl gives up rigidity, a folding lid gives up a flat surface to press on, and a retracting pump gives up nothing but tells you only that the height drops by an unstated amount. SUSTEAS gives up none of that and asks for the space.
What None of Them Publishes
No Collapsed Height Anywhere
This is the finding of the page. Four listings publish a folding or collapsing feature and not one publishes the height it collapses to. Ourokhome comes closest and still stops short: it states the pump handle presses down after use to reduce overall height and that the space-saving design helps the spinner fit neatly into cabinets or shelves, with no figure attached to either claim.
Smile mom is the same. Its listing states the lid is foldable, which greatly saves kitchen space, and publishes 8.46 by 8.46 by 5.1 inches without saying whether the 5.1 is measured with the lid up or down. For a drawer that is the whole question, and it is unanswered by every one of the five.
Where the Fields Stop Making Sense
COOK WITH COLOR publishes 3, 12 and 14 inches for a 4 quart collapsible spinner and its listing never labels any of them. A 3 inch figure on a product that collapses is plausibly the flat height, and 14 inches is plausibly the assembled one, but the listing does not say so and this page will not assume it. What is published is three numbers and no key.
Dreamfarm’s record has a milder version of the same problem. It publishes 8.66 by 15.75 by 4.33 inches for a basket its own size field describes as 30.5 cm, or 12 inches, in length. The 15.75 inch figure is longer than the length the maker states, which usually means it includes the handle in the position the handle does not stay in.
Capacity Against Stored Size
Three Quarts to Six Point Three
Ourokhome publishes 6.3 quarts and is the only listing here that converts it: four to six servings, or up to three heads of lettuce, or 2 pounds of cherry tomatoes. It is also the one that publishes 6.5 inches of height and a retracting handle, so on this page it is the argument that capacity and storage are not always opposed.
Below it, SUSTEAS publishes 5 quarts with a 4.5 liter basket, COOK WITH COLOR 4 quarts, Smile mom 3.8 quarts and Dreamfarm a 12 cup basket it states as 3 quarts. The two smallest capacities here belong to the two with the lowest published heights, which is the relationship you would expect and the reason the collapsing claims matter at the larger end.
The Parts You Also Have to Put Away
A spinner is never one object. Smile mom states a 3.8 quart bowl and a separate colander. Ourokhome states a fully removable lid whose internal components come out for cleaning, which is good for hygiene and means more pieces on the shelf. SUSTEAS states five blades and an egg yolk separator on top of the bowl, basket and lid.
The two collapsibles publish the fewest parts, and neither publishes a material. COOK WITH COLOR states it is dishwasher safe, while Dreamfarm names silicone for its foot and says nothing about washing. Smile mom states food grade ABS and top rack dishwasher safe, and SUSTEAS states food grade materials and dishwasher safe provided the temperature stays under 158 F.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
The bowl itself has to disappear. COOK WITH COLOR states a collapsible bowl and colander for small kitchens and trailers, publishes 4 quarts and is stated dishwasher safe. Its record gives 3, 12 and 14 inches without labelling any of them, and it publishes no weight and no material.
You store bowls inside each other. Dreamfarm states a collapsing handle so the basket nests in a bowl stack, with a 12 cup basket stated at 3 quarts and a published height of 4.33 inches at 0.68 pounds. It publishes no material and no washing instruction.
You want a low bowl with no folding to remember. Smile mom publishes 8.46 by 8.46 by 5.1 inches and 2.16 pounds in food grade ABS, top rack dishwasher safe, with a 3.8 quart bowl, a separate colander and a lid stated to fold flat.
You want capacity and a lower profile after use. Ourokhome publishes 6.3 quarts, 10.4 by 10.4 by 6.5 inches and 2.56 pounds, states four to six servings and three heads of lettuce, and states the pump handle presses down to reduce the overall height for cabinet storage.
You would rather have blades than a fold. SUSTEAS publishes 9.8 by 9.8 by 8 inches and 2.76 pounds with five 304 stainless blades, an egg yolk separator and a 4.5 liter basket, dishwasher safe under 158 F. Nothing folds, and there are more parts to store than on any other pick here.
What We Could Not Verify
These are the figures the five listings never publish, and nothing above has been guessed in their place.
- Not one of the four folding listings publishes the height it collapses to.
- COOK WITH COLOR publishes 3, 12 and 14 inches and never says which figure is which.
- COOK WITH COLOR publishes no weight and no material of any kind.
- Smile mom does not say whether its 5.1 inch height is measured with the lid folded or raised.
- Dreamfarm publishes 15.75 inches in a field against a stated length of 12 inches.
- None of the five mentions a drawer anywhere in its listing, only cabinets, shelves and bowl stacks.
