How the Five Compare on the Numbers
A station without a full kitchen leans on one spatula for the jar and the pan, so the figure that matters is the temperature the maker will stand behind. Two of these five publish 600 degrees Fahrenheit. One publishes 450 for its handle. One publishes a sentence that breaks off mid figure. One publishes only the words high temperatures.
The weights are all under half a pound and they still separate the picks. LINDEN SWEDEN publishes 0.08 pounds for one 9 inch spatula, Tovolo 0.11 for one jar scraper, Patelai 0.26 for two, ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE 0.31 for four. Kunovo publishes no weight at all for its three.
What the table cannot tell you is whether a 600 degree figure means the same thing twice. Tovolo attaches it to an all silicone body and ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE to silicone over a steel core, and neither says whether the figure is for contact with a pan or for sitting in one. LINDEN SWEDEN is the only listing here that says which part the number belongs to.
Two Listings at Six Hundred Degrees
All Silicone, and Silicone Over Steel
Tovolo publishes 600 degrees Fahrenheit on an all silicone jar scraper, and states the figure is the reason the tool protects nonstick cookware. Its fields give 1.97 by 11.02 by 0.1 inches, which is a long thin blade rather than a bowl scraper, and it publishes 0.11 pounds. It also publishes resistance to stains and odors.
ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE publishes the same figure differently. Four spatulas of BPA free food grade silicone rated up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, each over a stainless steel core, stated not to melt or warp on hot pans. It publishes 0.31 pounds for the set, the heaviest purchase of these five, and nothing about its length at all.
Four Hundred and Fifty, and Which Part
LINDEN SWEDEN publishes the most careful sentence on this fact sheet. The stainless steel handle can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and the silicone head is described separately. That is a maker saying which part of the tool the figure belongs to, which neither 600 degree listing does.
It is also the lightest purchase here at 0.08 pounds for a single 9 inch spatula with a published width of 1.0 inch and a thickness of 0.25. On a station where one utensil does everything, a 9 inch tool with a steel handle and a published limit is a different proposition from four small silicone heads.
The Two That Will Not Commit
A Sentence That Stops Mid Figure
Patelai states that the spatula is made of silicone with a stainless steel core, non toxic, non slip and high temperature resistant, and then the sentence naming the temperature breaks off. So the one thing a reader would use it for is missing from the middle of an otherwise detailed bullet.
What Patelai does publish is the clearest size on this page, at 11 by 1.4 inches given also as 28 by 3.5 cm, and a one piece build with no seams or cracks and no hidden food residue. It publishes 0.26 pounds for two pieces, and it is the only pick here that publishes its size in two units.
High Temperatures, and Nothing Else
Kunovo publishes three spatulas of durable food grade silicone that withstand high temperatures and work with nonstick cookware without damage, at 9.6 inches long by 1 inch wide. It publishes a smooth non porous surface that resists stains and odors and clears a dishwasher, and no temperature figure anywhere.
That is the most common position in this pool rather than an outlier. Most listings on this fact sheet use the words heat resistant with nothing attached, so the three figures on this page, 600, 600 and 450, are the exception. Kunovo also publishes no weight, so the only figures it gives are the two lengths.
Cores, Pieces and What Gets Washed
What Is Inside the Handle
Three of these five publish a steel core or a steel handle. ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE and Patelai both publish a stainless steel core inside the silicone, and LINDEN SWEDEN publishes a stainless steel handle with the silicone as the head. Tovolo publishes the opposite on purpose, an all silicone design with nothing inside it.
For a station that travels those are two different failure modes. A core stiffens a thin blade and a seam is where food gets in, which is why Patelai publishes one piece with no seams and Tovolo publishes all silicone. Kunovo publishes neither a core nor a seam statement, so what is inside its handle is unstated.
Pieces, Weights and Dishwashers
The purchase unit runs from one to four. Tovolo and LINDEN SWEDEN each supply one spatula, Patelai two, Kunovo three and ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE four. On weight that means 0.08 and 0.11 pounds for the two single tools against 0.31 for four, so a four piece set is roughly the weight of three single ones.
Four of the five publish a dishwasher. Tovolo, LINDEN SWEDEN and Kunovo state it plainly, and ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE states the spatulas rinse clean and are dishwasher safe. Patelai states only that the spatula is easy to use and clean, without naming a machine, which on a one piece seamless tool is the gap most worth filling.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
The spatula goes into a hot pan. Tovolo publishes 600 degrees Fahrenheit on an all silicone body with nothing inside it, fields of 1.97 by 11.02 by 0.1 inches, 0.11 pounds, dishwasher permission and resistance to stains and odors.
You want four heads and one figure. ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE publishes four spatulas of BPA free silicone rated to 600 degrees Fahrenheit over stainless steel cores, stated not to melt or warp on hot pans, at 0.31 pounds for the set.
You want to know which part the number is for. LINDEN SWEDEN publishes 450 degrees Fahrenheit for its stainless steel handle, a 9 inch spatula measuring 1.0 by 0.25 inches in its fields, dishwasher permission and 0.08 pounds.
Seams are what you are avoiding. Patelai publishes a one piece build with no seams or cracks and no hidden residue, silicone over a stainless steel core, 11 by 1.4 inches given also as 28 by 3.5 cm, and 0.26 pounds for two.
You want three for the price of looking. Kunovo publishes three food grade silicone spatulas at 9.6 inches long by 1 inch wide, stated to withstand high temperatures and work with nonstick cookware, and cleared for a dishwasher.
What We Could Not Verify
Every figure above is a maker’s own published number or sentence, taken from the listing itself. These are the things we went looking for across all sixteen listings on this fact sheet and could not find.
- The temperature Patelai was about to publish before its sentence broke off.
- A heat figure from Kunovo, which states high temperatures and stops there.
- Whether the two 600 degree figures are for contact with a pan or for sitting in one.
- A length from ALLWIN-HOUSEWARE, whose only size word is small.
- A weight from Kunovo, the one pick here that publishes none.
- Whether the Kunovo handle has a core inside it, which the listing never says.
