How the Five Compare on the Numbers
Every maker on this page mentions a dishwasher, which is why these five are here and the four listings that say nothing about washing are not. The statements differ in scope. OVENTE clears steam baskets and removable parts. BELLA clears its plastic baskets and names a removable base. Rosewill clears baskets and a food tray. AAOBOSI clears detachable 304 stainless steel trays. Sunhouse says the entire set is dishwasher safe.
The framing figures are capacity and wattage. Capacity runs from 4.6 quarts for the Sunhouse pot to 12.7 quarts for the AAOBOSI, with OVENTE at 5 quarts, BELLA at 7.4 quarts and Rosewill at 9.5 quarts. Three publish a wattage: OVENTE 400W, Rosewill 800W and AAOBOSI 1500W. BELLA publishes none, and the Sunhouse sits on a burner. Weights run from 1.8 pounds for the OVENTE to 8.8 pounds for the AAOBOSI, with the Sunhouse figure set aside below.
What the table cannot show is whether any of the four electric bases can be wiped or rinsed, because no maker says. It also flattens the dishwasher statements into one row when they are not equal: a maker that names its baskets is not clearing its lid or its base, and only Sunhouse uses the word entire. And the Sunhouse weight is printed but not believed, for reasons given further down the page.
What Each Maker Actually Clears
Baskets and trays, the common ground
OVENTE’s cleaning bullet is headed Easy to Clean and Store and says dishwasher-safe steam baskets and removable parts make cleaning effortless. It does not list the removable parts. Its two baskets are described as clear and 2.5 quarts each, stacking to the 5 quarts in the title. BELLA says its stackable plastic baskets can be removed and safely washed in your dishwasher, and the word plastic is the maker’s own.
Rosewill puts Dishwasher Safe Baskets in its title and widens it in a bullet: the steam baskets and food tray are all dishwasher-friendly, for what it calls hands-free cleanup. The three tiers are BPA-free. AAOBOSI’s trays are detachable 304 stainless steel and, in the maker’s words, fit right into your dishwasher. It is the only electric steamer here whose food-contact parts are stated as stainless rather than plastic.
The base, the housing and the one whole-set claim
BELLA is the only electric maker here to say anything about its base: the removable base makes it easy to clean your electric cooker and veggie steamer. That is a statement about reaching the part that holds water, not about putting it in a machine. OVENTE’s removable parts may include something similar, but the listing never names them, so the page records the phrase as published and nothing more.
Sunhouse has no electric base to protect. Its listing describes a 4.6 quart stainless steel pot, a steamer insert, and a tight-fitting tempered glass cover, and then says the entire set is also dishwasher safe. It is the only whole-set statement on the page. Remove the insert and the maker says the base works as a standard pot, so the parts that get washed are the parts you cook in.
Upkeep Between Washes
Boil-dry stops and water you can see
All four electric steamers state a stop when water runs low, which is the upkeep feature that matters most between washes. OVENTE shuts off when time ends or the water empties. BELLA states auto shutoff and boil dry protection. Rosewill shuts off when the timer is up or the tank is empty. AAOBOSI’s boil-dry sensors pause heating when water is low, and its listing describes a dual reservoir with a bottom pre-fill and a side tank.
Seeing the water matters as much as stopping without it. BELLA states a clear water level indicator that tells you how much liquid is left. AAOBOSI’s touch screen shows water levels, and its 2 liter side tank lets you add water mid-cooking without lifting the lids. OVENTE mentions an indicator light without saying what it indicates. Rosewill says nothing about a water gauge, and the Sunhouse is a pot.
Timers, wattage and what is not stated
OVENTE and Rosewill both publish a 60 minute timer. BELLA’s control is a switch, and no timer length appears in its listing. AAOBOSI sets timers on its HD color touch screen and never states a maximum. Wattage follows a similar pattern: OVENTE publishes 400W, Rosewill 800W and AAOBOSI 1500W, a spread of 1100W between the lowest and the highest, while BELLA publishes no wattage at all.
Rosewill adds that its 800W element produces steam within 40 seconds, the only time-to-steam figure here. AAOBOSI describes instant dense steam without a number. OVENTE’s reservoir has a stated maximum fill of 500 ml, and the listing presents it as a limit for small to medium meals. AAOBOSI’s water figure is the 2 liter side tank rather than the base reservoir. BELLA and Rosewill publish no water figure, and none of the four states how much water a full timer run needs.
Materials, Weights and a Figure Set Aside
Plastic, BPA-free and 304 stainless
The makers name their basket material unevenly. BELLA says plastic. Rosewill says BPA-free, which describes a material without naming it. AAOBOSI says 304 stainless steel for trays and housing, and adds that food contact is plastic-free. OVENTE describes its baskets as clear and puts the words stainless steel in its title, which the page reads as the housing, so the basket material goes unnamed. Sunhouse is stainless steel throughout, by its own description.
Sunhouse is also the only one of the five with a tri-ply encapsulated base and a magnetic base for induction, and the only one with riveted handles. Rivets are a cleaning detail the other four do not raise, because their baskets lift out and no maker here clears an electric housing. CHEFBEE, left off this page, also rivets its handles and allows hand washing or a dishwasher, but publishes neither a weight nor a dimension.
Weights as published, and the one we do not believe
Four weights are credible. OVENTE publishes 1.8 pounds, the lightest of the five and consistent with a compact two-tier unit. BELLA publishes 3.53 pounds and Rosewill 4.62 pounds for its three tiers. AAOBOSI publishes 8.8 pounds, the heaviest of the four electric steamers, which fits a 1500W unit with stainless trays and housing. Those four figures are the ones this page ranks by.
Sunhouse publishes 12 pounds for a 4.6 quart stainless pot with an insert and a glass cover. The 12.7 quart AAOBOSI, with a heating element, a housing and two stainless trays, publishes 8.8 pounds. A 4.6 quart pot at 12 pounds outweighing a 12.7 quart electric steamer at 8.8 pounds is not a figure this page believes, so it is printed in the table as published and excluded from any ranking or superlative.
Which One Fits Your Kitchen
The small household that wants every part in the rack. OVENTE’s 5 quart, two-tier steamer clears its baskets and removable parts, nests for storage, and publishes 1.8 pounds and 400W. The maker states a 500 ml maximum fill and a 60 minute timer with shut-off when the water empties.
The cook who wants to reach the reservoir. BELLA is the only electric maker here that says its base is removable for cleaning. Two plastic baskets go in the dishwasher, a clear indicator shows the water level, and boil dry protection shuts it off. It publishes no wattage.
The meal-prep household. Rosewill’s three BPA-free tiers hold 9.5 quarts, and the maker clears baskets and food tray for the dishwasher. 800W, steam within 40 seconds and a 60 minute timer with shut-off when the tank empties are the published figures.
The buyer who wants no plastic touching food. AAOBOSI’s trays and housing are 304 stainless steel, the trays detach for the dishwasher, and the 2 liter side tank refills without lifting lids. It is the largest here at 12.7 quarts and publishes 1500W and 8.8 pounds.
The stovetop cook who wants the whole set washed. Sunhouse’s 4.6 quart stainless pot, insert and tempered glass cover are the only set here the maker clears entirely for a dishwasher. It has a tri-ply encapsulated base, works on induction, and its published weight is set aside.
What We Could Not Verify
Six things the listings leave open, recorded rather than guessed:
- Whether any of the four electric bases can be rinsed or only wiped; no maker says.
- Which parts OVENTE means by removable parts, beyond the two baskets.
- A wattage and a timer length for the BELLA, which publishes neither.
- A timer maximum for the AAOBOSI, which sets timers on a screen without stating one.
- The material of the OVENTE baskets, described only as clear.
- A credible weight for the Sunhouse; the published 12 pounds is set aside against the 8.8 pound AAOBOSI.
